Be With Me: 7 Minutes of Biblical Wonder

Apparently, God "falls off His throne" and bad things happen to good people.  But, that is only if you don't read all the way to the end of the story.  Revelation is a lot about reading to the end.

The good guys get killed and everything looks bad. It appears that evil has won. BUT, the good Lord then breathes the breath of life back into them and they hear a LOUD voice from HEAVEN: "COME UP HERE."

Not only has God NOT fallen off the throne, He is completely calm and in charge.  Perhaps you too after death has apparently conquered you will hear something similar: Come up here!  bewithme.us

What you consume will consume you.
Being a child of God is to eat the diet of God's own choosing.
God tells you to EAT THE BIBLE.

The availability of time to repent is limited. Grace is unlimited, but it is a limited time offer. God's patience toward us changes to justice toward us.  We'd best be in a HURRY to understand this, and act on it

Our tombstones will spiritually say one of two things: DID Repent or DID NOT Repent.  It all boils down to that decision.  We're not particularly inclined to bend this part of our wills, so God helps us in the extreme.

Let's say 1 person gave their life to HELP YOU make the right decision regarding repenting...or maybe a 100...or in today's story more than a billion.  This might serve to get our attention, or perhaps not one bit. Let's have a higher repentance-rate than 0%.

People in this story basically say, "I'd rather DIE than REPENT". Even worse, "I'd rather be tortured by big locust like scorpion stingers for 5 months rather than repent."

Apparently, repentance is hard.  It involves:

• agreeing with God about the past
• grieving with God about the past
• receiving from God about the past 
  • His way of restoration thru Jesus the Slain Lamb
• turning toward God about the future

Let's be a bit softer than these hard-hearted folks.  Lean in to repentance with me before the stinging locusts/scorpions arrive. bewithme.us 

Perhaps we might say to God: "Why didn't you TELL ME?"
Revelation is God saying: "I AM telling you now in my LOUD VOICE"

Welcome to the Trumpet judgements of Jesus.  In short, all these natural wonders of nature being used to make life on earth extremely difficult. There are stars crashing, fire from the sky, waters turning bitter and darkness on the earth.  Why all this tumult? Because humanity wasn't listening to the still quiet voice of God.  Here we see Jesus "speaking in His LOUD voice."

God is in the business of making believers.  This won't last forever, but in Revelation 8, repentance is still available. 

People haven't listened to His witness in Creation, in love and in His Son.  Perhaps they will listen to FIRE. Judgement comes, but yet with an opportunity to repent. Somebody gets to be the last believer; the "thief on the cross" of that era; the Tom Brady of heaven.

If you are reading this, I've got good news: repentance is still available.  Start with just two of the hardest words in this world: "I'm sorry..." then go from there. He will help you in the process.  

This is a sweet passage today.  In it we'll hear:

• He who sits on the throne will SHELTER THEM WITH HIS PRESENCE
• The Lamb who sits on the throne WILL BE THEIR SHEPHERD
• God will WIPE EVERY TEAR FROM THEIR EYES

It is written to those who become believers in the tribulation.  God promises His wonderful intimacy, guidance and presence. It's all backed up by what He has accomplished.  That's why He's on the throne. Let's learn about God from both the sweetness as well as the strength.

Revelation is a lot about the wrath on people that refuse God. But what about BELIEVERS of that period?  

Some will come from the Jews.  Some will come from the Gentiles.  Both are SEALED.  That is, God SEES them, possesses them, marks them, identifies them and then preserves them.

Ridiculously, some people in the end times will try to HIDE FROM GOD.
It cannot be done, of course. 

We can solve their problem in the FUTURE by not hiding from God NOW.
We can LOOK GOD IN THE FACE now.
               He'll be HOLY.  We won't be. It is kind of brutal.
To look Him in the face now is to repent, believe and receive.

Let's LOOK HIM in the face now, so we Won't be hiding from His face on THAT DAY
