Charlie and Mike return this week with a conversation about life, life around camp, the coming deer season and the competition around hunting. The advent of cell cams, the exercise of naming bucks, and social media have all contributed to the loss of the traditional hunting mindset. Our pursuit of bigger and or better has robbed us of the heart and joy of hunting. This year we're taking it back.

I have been following these two gentlemen for a number of years and there are few in the habitat industry that show the care and attention to their craft that these two do. There are even less in the industry that have a heart and a passion for the plight of the grouse. The solution to the loss of grouse is pretty simple - chainsaws and fire, well managed forests, and yet it's not being done. This conversation gives some insights on why we aren't doing what is needed to save the grouse and how we can get involved.
