Pat and Bo talk about Bo's up coming birthday and Bo is extremely excited. Bo is having an Among Us themed party and has a plan to have a day of fun.
Bo also hates it when dad says the word "sleeps".
Since Bo is turning 7 soon dad wants to hold onto his little boy for as long as he can. Sadly he can see it slipping away little by little. Regardless, Watching the excitement of a child for their birthday is amazing and we will all enjoy it as it approaches.

Alora has been gone from her loving family for just over 2 weeks doing all the fun things, including 5 days at camp and she, like most camp kids, loved it and cant wait until next year. 
Pat and Alora talk about:

• does Alora get homesick?

• how it changes and now that she is older she has to be a role model
• and acts of kindness

Pat and Bo talk about money and what Bo likes to spend his on. Bo is 6 so its all about candy and toys.
That makes sense to me cause I was like that too. But at the same time Bo understands that if he spends his money he wont have any money. And he likes his money.

Alora is gone at camp so Pat had to do the podcast all by himself today and he did an amazing job if I don't say so myself. 
Pat first off talks about how this situation was a mistake and how parents need to not only make mistakes in front of your kids but you also need to explain to them how you fixed it and how to never let it happen again. 
Pat also talks about falling back on bad habits and if that is ok for him. 
Right now it is cause this is me now, it does not mean that I'll be this person forever.

Pat and Alora talk shop about Alora becoming an athlete and playing volleyball this fall, and possibly track in the spring. Then we dive down the rabbit hole of he new found obsession of the Rubik's Cube. Which can be annoying because she brings it everywhere with her but at the same time she is not staring at her phone and is actually getting better dexterity in her fingers that will translate into playing the guitar.

So parents....pick your battles

Then we look at the youth and Mom Jeans, and can I say gross! Yep I sure can.

Bo is not a fan of spicy food but he is willing to taste almost anything. Which from a parenting look is fantastic. I have a very open pallet and so does his mom so we cook all the food and Bo does great navigating new food and even spicy foods, from time to time.
Pat and Bo travel down a road that is very familiar to many parents and if you can take a seasoning nugget from this podcast here it is, let your kids season their own food.

Pat and Alora had a very careful talk today because Alora was under the weather and had to be told many of times that she was not aloud to sniffle during the podcast. If you listen hard enough you may be able to hear one or two little ones but over all she was great.

Alora has had a very busy summer for only being four days old. She started off by doing some landscaping with dad, had to spend time cleaning her room/disaster area, all the while manning the washer and dryer.  She did get some downtime to go for a walk but only to listen to music while it was 97 degrees outside.

Ohhhhhh, and we got some good water time over the weekend. Alora really enjoys the water. 

Lots of things to do this summer, and it's time to hit it hard.
