Pat and Bo talk about Bo and Baseball and his favorite position, catcher. The fact that Bo has started leaning into the catcher position warms Pat's heart because Pat grew up catching himself for many years.  Bo likes the gear and the fact that he is in every play. And that thought process for a seven year old is spot on.

Pat and Alora had a hard time talking today, especially Pat. Every day can't go smooth and today proved that.
But Alora has had a very fun and busy week. With singing in a Variety Show, to running Track when it was 95 degrees outside, to learning how to mow the lawn. 
There are things that you just need to know and one of them is mowing the lawn. If you are like Pat you enjoy mowing the lawn and are kind of particular about it, but sometimes He can't get to it, so here is Alora to the rescue. 
Part of parenting is teaching your kids how to be an adult, just wait till Alora gets her drivers license and needs to learn how to change a tire. That is going to be some long days.

Pat and Bo talk about all the fun Bo has with his friends at Stoney Creek. If you are not sure what that is, it is a campground. Thats it. But every once and a while they hold different events on the weekends for family fun. Bo was able to join in the fun and one of the events he had to wear panty hoses on his head with a ball in them and knock over 2 liter bottles.

Pat and Alora get real today because as Alora starts getting older she is getting into more and more activities and sometimes they don't line up the best with other things she wants to do. 
Yep, we've all been there. Time and time again. Its hard growing up but it is also pretty awesome.  Alora is a very smart girl and she is aware of it, but still is not happy about it. 
I also asked Alora a question that she could not ansser. Or more like refused to answer but she did give a great answer to the question; Who's cooler Boys or Girls?

Pat and Bo talk about Mother's Day and Pat tries to get Bo to talk all nice and lovingly about his mother but Bo just doesn't have the words yet.

Pat and Alora star the day off by talking about her first track meet. Alora did a great job in all events and was super excited at the end. And as a parent that is all you want to see. Your child enjoy what they are doing. 
Alora competed in:

• shot put
• high jump
• 100m hurdles
• 100m dash

Pat also reads a story for you today. Alora wrote a story when she was between the ages of 7-10 and it is magical. I had such a good time reading it and watching Alora laugh through it.

Pat and Bo talk about Bo learning how to tie his shoes. As a parent You never know when your should start teaching your kids certain things but I did get a huge bite of reality the other day when I went to get Bo baseball cleats and there were not velcro shoes. Well, it is time. I am very happy that Bo loves to try new things and learn because we sat together for about 30min and he started to get pretty quick.
Is it perfect yet? Nope. But neither are some adults at tying their shoes.

Pat and Alora talk about the Forward Testing that she had to do in school the last couple of weeks and the bull crap that it is. Forward Testing is a garbage way that schools get funding, and thats crap.
Also its getting to the end of the year for Alora and she's jacked. Killing school, rock band, track. My self and her mother are extremely proud of Alora.
We also talk about the need of feelings again just to reiterate somethings that we have said in the past. Be honest with yourself about your feelings and you can only better yourself.

Pat and Bo had a great podcast today talking about our morning of hot tubbing and working out together. When I am outside and Bo or Alora come out and want to workout with me (which isn't a lot) it is a great time for all of us. I am more than happy to stop what I am doing to have fun with them.

Pat and Alora are back and there is so much to talk about we had to hit only the highlights today.
Alora talks about how she learned that she got into Show Choir.
Alora also talks about the good and bad things that she has done at Track Practice. And in my fatherly eyes its not enough. Why you ask? Cause I'm a father and she hasn't been sore enough for me so more soreness = harder work.  Makes sense right?
Probably not, but whatever. Nobody reads these.
We also talk about politeness during a sleepover. What is acceptable during a car drop off and pleases and thank yous.
