As the filming location of Some Like It Hot, the favorite vacation destination of author L. Frank Baum, and one of the last Victorian era hotels in the world, Hotel Del Coronado is famous for many reasons. It's also reportedly haunted, namely by the ghost of Kate Morgan who traveled there under mysterious circumstances in 1892.
