Aging - a subject that can be fraught with conflicted feelings but so important for us to be able to speak and converse about easily and readily. There are so many negative messages, especially for women, in our culture about all the "bad" things about aging. There are indirect messages about all the losses that aging brings. We rarely focus in on the benefits of aging.
This podcast intends to highlight why the beautiful work of embracing aging versus resisting aging can be life-affirming and enhancing. Our intention is to support you to bring to consciousness these culturally embedded messages, alter them to positively support your own aging, and create new messages to speak and share with others that demonstrate that aging has beautiful benefits and joys. Laurel and Laurel share ways to reconsider how to appreciate aging, strategies to engage aging positively, and ways to affirm our aging as we experience changes.

Know thyself. When you are truly self-aware you can carve a pathway to really wonderful self-care. Self-care is crucial to experiencing a beautiful, nourishing, fulfilling life.
Ultimately, each of us is responsible for our own self-care. We often want others to care for us well but we are the only ones that truly know exactly what we need and want. Once we arm ourselves with this knowledge, we can then become more effective with fulfilling those needs and wants. Self-awareness creates this opportunity for effective self-care.
Can you commit to yourself on the journey of self-awareness and self-care? We want that for you because we know you can then become a giver of the beautiful gifts you came to this life to offer.
Laurel shared her healing/coaching session with Nan Akasha.

Do you have a conflicted relationship with being more visible? Many of us do because it might mean more attention, more responsibility and more stress. And yet, it can also mean feeling more empowered, more energized, and more successful.
On this podcast episode Laurel and Laurel discuss the feelings, the complications and the rewards of becoming more visible. We share our stories about historically working to be invisible, and why that was so, and then attempting to become more visible as a way to feel more fully alive and expressed.
Whether we're talking about personal or professional issues of being more/less visible, this topic brings essential issues forward for true fulfillment and life satisfaction.

Forgiving, such big work. Such beautiful work even when it involves some ugly emotions and situations. Because forgiving, ultimately, is the gift you give yourself. You recover a peaceful heart. You no longer feel the poison of anger or betrayal running through your veins and mind. You are free to move and empowered to set boundaries based on your truth and your values. So many benefits to receive from forgiving.
What big and beautiful work we are discussing this week on the podcast!
On this episode we discuss the intricacies of forgiveness work and how life changing and freeing it can be. We offer a step-by-step process to move through forgiveness in a healthy way. We talk about the all important self-forgiveness as well to support your journey into a peaceful inner life.

Pixie Hamilton joins me in this episode to get into the nitty-gritty of how important boundaries are for each and every one of us, especially if you want to create your own beautiful life.
"This is the number 1 tool for your toolbox when truly getting to the business of making your life the way you want it." And as Pixie says, right from the beginning, the holdup often is knowing what you want - getting clear in what you want so that you can actually then get to the business of making it happen with a shift in boundaries!
Pixie and talk about how to gain skills in setting and communicating healthy boundaries, flags to help you identify when boundaries need to change, some of the reasons that we often have trouble delivering our truth in setting boundaries, and different ways to think about some of the reasons we often don't set the boundaries that really want to set.
We hope this conversation will help you set more appropriate boundaries on the path of creating the beautiful life you deeply desire.

Are you willing to look at the judge that lives in you? When you are ready to seriously consider how judgement shows up in your life and how it may be limiting it, great positive change becomes a reality. You free yourself from many self-limiting factors and the inner critic who can truly shut down your best life.
Laurel and Laurel share stories of how they learned, and continue to learn, how to recognize and to quiet their inner judges and experience the liberation that follows. They dig into the difference between opinions, beliefs and judgments. They talk about the cultural influences that we are faced with when trying to quiet the inner judge but how we can be "game changers" by doing this important inner work.

Feeling in control feels good. When we make plans and they work out, it's satisfying. Yet, there's a limit to "controlling" life and having it feel good and continue to produce positive outcomes.
Laurel and Laurel share personal stories of recovering from being controlling, and experiencing the freedom and boost of energy that results from this inner work. We talk about the nuances of what being controlling can look like, and how and why it drains your energy and often negatively impacts relationships.
In the end, our ability to release control and relax into a more wholistic flow in our days, can produce a truly elevated life experience. May this podcast episode inspire you to consider this as a way to create a more beautiful life!

Often the beautiful work begins with a crisis or a moment of clarity in which we suddenly know something needs to change. As we embrace that inner work can be a positive and life-enhancing aspect of living, we shift into a mindset of opening to the beautiful work and actively engaging in the process of personal development and transformation.
In this episode to kick-off 2021, Laurel and Laurel invite you to consider planning for a beautiful life by seeking, and purposefully engaging the beautiful work. We often make plans and set goals for work or professional life, but wouldn’t it be wonderful to take this experience gently into living into the beautiful work? We think so!

What is grace? What we've been taught, the cultural definitions, the book dictionary - all point us in the direction of Divine intervention of some sort.
But the actual experience of grace becomes a miraculous, expansive, feeling-oriented, personally uplifting gift, received in a unique way for our delight, that seems bestowed from an outside source that leaves us with gratitude and wonder.
Who doesn't want more of this?
Laurel and Laurel dive into personal experiences of grace, how they each feel and relate to grace, and then explore ideas about how to live with and experience more grace and wonder through where your attention is focused.
