When a student is found violently killed in the woods, suspicion falls on Oz, whose werewolf side might be the culprit. But as Buffy secretly deals with the shocking return of a feral and traumatized Angel, the real monster turns out to be far more human. As the gang investigates, the lines between beast and man, control and chaos, begin to blur—with deadly consequences.

This week we get real with the heavy themes of domestic abuse woven into this episode. Courtney is stunned and genuinely shocked by Angel’s sudden return, while we collectively decide Scott Hope is the worst — honestly, we’d take feral, freshly-returned-from-hell Angel over him any day. We also break down Oz’s big moment, revisiting the wild potential of his werewolf form and how it can actually be used to his advantage.
