Today’s guest is our very own founder and editor-in-chief, Eleanor Pendleton! A beauty veteran with over 10 years of experience, Eleanor is one tenacious woman that had her heart set on magazines from very early on.

Her grit and determination saw her land her first internship at Cosmopolitan (under the guise of beauty mogul, Zoe Foster Blake) and soon after the beauty editor role at none other than InStyle Magazine. At the time she was only 21! Fast forward, Eleanor continues to manage an ever-expanding digital team and is an inspiration to many beauty aficionados.

In this episode Danielle Gay (beauty director & executive editor) and Rose Garnett (beauty editor) speak about Eleanor’s foray into what she calls accidental entrepreneurship, how she scaled her business thoughtfully and the greatest piece of business advice she’s ever received. Thelma first rose to fame as the winner of the inaugural Triple J’s National Indigenous Unearthed Music Competition ten years ago, in 2012. Only 17 at the time, she established herself as a promising emerging talent and has since become a pioneer for Indigenous representation within media and the music industry. However, it wasn’t until Thelma released her debut album, Better in Blak, that she landed her first ARIA and has since gone on to achieve great success.

Today, Thelma is fresh out of two years of lockdowns, has released a new single, been announced as a face of Maybelline New York and is touring the country. In short: she’s showing no signs of slowing down. From landing her big break to creating music in lockdown and why she’s optimistic about the unfurling future, Thelma was an open book and an absolute pleasure to speak with!

After taking out the title of Supermodel of Australia in 2002, this Western Australian-native found herself in New York at the ripe age of 16 and has since graced the international covers of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle. 

Today much of Trunfio’s focus is on her three businesses (ERTH, Trunfio Universe and Bumpsuit) alongside her newfound alignment with natural skincare and makeup brand, Inika Organic. A brand that is making serious headway when it comes to sustainability, the alignment is a natural progression for the supermodel.
