  • Rocio Sanz – Because You Need To Know – Pioneer Knowledge Services

    Of Spanish nationality, Rocio Sanz is currently based in Geneva, Switzerland and has over 20 years of work experience in the fields of communication, public information, media and humanitarian emergency responses. And over 15 years working on knowledge management and information architecture.
    She has worked in the Balkans region (Croatia, Kosovo and Albania), Papua New Guinea, Iraq, Colombia, Switzerland and Egypt, with numerous deployments to conflict situation zones and natural disaster affected areas. Her work on Knowledge Management started “officially” in 2007 working at the Emergency and Post-Crisis Division of the International Organization for Migration, a UN Agency. The 2010 Earthquake in Haiti was the first successful result of the Knowledge-Based approach.
    In Egypt, during the Arab Spring she worked for UNICEF in the country developing knowledge products, a knowledge management strategy and the internal knowledge-based system based on SharePoint. Her engagement with UNICEF started after a country programme evaluation.
    Since her arrival to Geneva in 2015, she works as consultant on KM issues. Her last engagement -still on-going- is the support to the IOM Regional Office in Costa Rica in the development of the Knowledge Hub for Migration (https://kmhub.iom.int) and the support to Headquarters in the development of knowledge sharing tools that include user-friendly products and participatory internal trainings that contribute to culture change. A growing interest on Customer Intelligence has made her participate at the first International Customer Knowledge Management Conference that took place in Teheran September 2018.

    Mrs. Ginetta Gueli holds a MSc in Business Administration from Pisa’s university and is an AIESEC alumna. She has more than 10 years of experience in Knowledge Management and has an extensive understanding in dealing with different cultures. In her current role, as Business Analyst for a Law Firm, Ginetta is supporting the CEO in reshaping business processes and detecting shareable and valuable knowledge to increase business volumes and improve cooperation between teams.
    Ginetta began her KM journey in The Boston Consulting Group, where she was the Consumer Practice knowledge coordinator for Italy. In that role she managed the intellectual capital of the company ensuring that the relevant knowledge was accessible and to promote a culture of sharing that enabled teams to work more efficiently and effectively.
    After that, Ginetta joined Valore D, where from scratch she structured and implemented a Knowledge Management system designed to avoid the costly practice of re-inventing the wheel. It provided team members a way to find valuable information in unstructured shared folders.
    AIESEC (pronounced eye-sek) was originally an acronym for Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales. AIESEC is no longer used as an acronym but simply as the name of the organisation.

    Kim has 25+ years' experience in communications, marketing, project management, digital engagement and knowledge management, and is Director of Knowledge Management for TechnipFMC, the winner of the KMWorld 2017 Reality Award. Previously, she led the knowledge management initiative for FMC Technologies, a winner of multiple Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) Awards in both the Global and Americas categories. Prior to joining FMC Technologies, Kim spearheaded the Knowledge Management Office for Aspen Technology, Inc., which earned the "The Most Valuable Intranet of 2012" from the Worldwide Intranet Challenge benchmarking survey.
    A frequent speaker at knowledge management and quality conferences, Kim has led various global initiatives that enable continuous improvement and is skilled in the deployment of knowledge management and communications processes and tools to achieve business benefit. Kim is a big proponent of the intersection between KM, quality, innovation and collaboration.
    Kim serves on the steering committees for the 2019 APQC KM Conference and the Knowledge Leaders Council. Most importantly, Kim is looking forward to benchmarking with and learning from you!

    Mr. Cory Lee Cannon, (Major Retired USAR), from Emporia, Kansas is a Certified Knowledge Manager and is currently working as Chief Knowledge Operations at United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command, and United States Forces Korea (UNC/CFC/USFK) in Seoul, South Korea. Responsible for Knowledge gap analysis, Battle Rhythm synchronization between the three commands, and integrating Knowledge Management into the operations and plans process to support the Commander's decision-making process. He has served 20 years in the United States military between his enlisted time 1998- 2002 in the United States Marine Corps as a field radio operation, where he rose to the rank of Lance Corporal then transferred to the United States Army Reserves where from 2005 to 2015 he deployed 3 times to Iraq and Kuwait where he was a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for a Transportation Company which performed Convoy Logistics Platforms in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His second deployment in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn he was the Deputy Knowledge Management Officer for an Expeditionary Sustainment Command. In his most recent deployment, he was assigned to the Combined/Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve in Kuwait where he was the Chief Knowledge Manager for the 66-nation coalition for the fight against ISIL

Dr. Becerra is a nationally recognized educator known for innovation, entrepreneurship and transformational education. She has over 30 years of experience in higher education, starting as a tenured professor, leading an entrepreneurship center and working as vice provost and vice president for engagement at Florida International University (FIU). She became the first woman to earn a Ph.D. in electrical engineering at FIU. She then served as provost at Saint Thomas University, where she also became the chief academic officer. Her academic career as a student and professional has blended mathematics, engineering and systems thinking and processes in her studies, teaching and administrative leadership.
