In today’s episode, Sarah and I tackle the often-overwhelming topic of handling a relapse together. We’ll share our personal preferences on what to say, how to approach these moments with love and honesty, and why open communication is key. We also dive into a deeper question: What does success really look like in a relationship where one partner occasionally struggles with porn? Is the goal to never slip up again, or could that kind of perfectionism actually cause more harm than good? Join us as we explore how to redefine success, build trust, and create a healthier dynamic in your relationship.
In this episode, I open up about what it was like growing up in the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints while struggling with a pornography habit. I talk about the things I wish I had learned and how the shame-based approach I experienced only made things worse.
We dive into how shame fuels the cycle of addiction, keeping people stuck and feeling like they’re broken or unworthy. The more I hid my struggle, the stronger it got. I share what I think could’ve made a real difference: open, honest conversations, removing the stigma, and learning that messing up doesn’t mean you’re unworthy of love or connection.
This episode isn’t about pointing fingers at the church—it’s about imagining how things could be different. How can faith communities help people heal instead of making them feel like their struggles define them? If you’ve ever felt this way or know someone who has, this episode is for you. Let’s break the cycle of shame and start a real conversation.
In this episode, we dive into the often-taboo topic of being attracted to people other than your spouse. We unpack why attraction is a natural, human experience and doesn’t have to threaten your commitment. Learn how to navigate these feelings in a way that strengthens your relationship, builds trust, and deepens your connection with your partner. It’s not about avoiding attraction—it’s about choosing how you respond to it.
In this episode, Porn Isn’t Your Problem – It’s a Symptom of Something Deeper, we’re flipping the script on how you look at porn. What if porn isn’t the real problem but just a way to deal with other stuff going on under the surface? Stuff like stress, loneliness, or past experiences that haven't been dealt with.
I’ll share how I realized porn was just a sign that something deeper needed attention and how understanding that shifted my whole approach. We’ll get into real, straightforward steps you can take to figure out what triggers you to reach for porn—like journaling, meditation, finding someone to keep you accountable, or even getting help from a therapist.
By the end of this episode, you’ll see how getting to the root of things can set you free in a way that just trying to quit never does. Let’s dig deep, get real, and start making moves toward real freedom.
In this episode we talk about how human sexuality is a gift not a curse! I believe its one of Gods greatest gifts for us and too many of us squander this gift in shame and guilt. Don't get me wrong it can be abused but most don't need that message. We already feel bad enough about it. We also talk about how to control unwanted thoughts and how I as a married man is practicing no nut November or semen retention.
In this episode, I sit down with Katie Davis to dive into her journey and what led her to work with couples around porn and shame. We break down the cultural ties between shame and porn, exploring how these two fuel each other and why breaking that cycle is essential. Katie shares powerful insights on how a spouse can truly support a husband who’s struggling with porn in a way that builds trust, not resentment. We also tackle an often-overlooked topic: how a husband’s porn habit can sometimes highlight insecurities in the wife—things that won’t simply disappear if he quits. This episode is all about real talk, breaking shame, and finding supportive, healing paths forward for both partners.

In this episode, we dive into how porn has evolved—from the old days of sneaking a peek at magazines to the constant access we have today with the internet. Now, AI is taking things to a whole new level, and it's changing fast. We'll explore where it all started, where it's at right now, and where it's heading in the future. You’ll be surprised how quickly this industry is shifting and how it could impact your habits. Let's break down what’s happening, why it matters, and how we can navigate this new wave.
In this podcast, we’re going to break down my personal framework for overcoming pornography—step by step. This isn’t just about resisting porn but actually changing your relationship with it.
Step 1: Bring it to the Light
We start by talking about it. Shame grows in secrecy, and keeping this issue hidden only makes it worse. By bringing it to the light and opening up—whether that’s with a friend, spouse, or a support group—you strip away its power.
Step 2: There's Nothing Wrong With You
Often, it’s not the action itself but the belief surrounding it that causes the most harm. If you think looking at porn makes you a bad person, that belief fuels shame, which in turn keeps you stuck. Ask yourself, "What does it really mean if I look at porn?"
Step 3: Porn Isn’t Bad, It’s Just Cheap
Porn isn’t inherently evil—it’s just cheap. It’s a quick fix for a deeper void. Like eating junk food, it’s not going to satisfy you in the long run, and it’s definitely not going to fill whatever deeper need you’re trying to address.
Step 4: These Aren’t Urges, It’s Just Hunger
When you feel the pull to watch porn, pause and ask, “What am I actually hungry for?” It’s often not about the porn itself but something deeper—loneliness, stress, or emotional voids.
Step 5: Outgrow Porn
The goal is not to just fight porn off but to outgrow it. This means replacing bad habits with better, healthier ones. Build routines, such as exercising, journaling, or learning something new, that replace the habit with positive actions.
Step 6: Address Past Trauma
We all have wounds—big and small—that can fuel unhealthy behaviors. Whether it's a major life trauma or small, repetitive experiences that have added up, addressing these head-on can remove the chains holding you back.
Step 7: Long-Term Success is Achieved Through Intimacy
True healing comes from developing deeper intimacy—whether with your spouse, family, or close friends. Building these close, meaningful relationships is key to long-term success and shifting your perception of sexuality into something more meaningful and fulfilling.
These steps will help you move from fighting against porn to simply outgrowing the desire, and the journey gets easier once you have the right tools.
In this episode join my wife and I as we have a real, raw conversation about something many couples struggle with but few openly discuss: pornography. We open up about my personal journey with porn and the steps we've taken together to tackle this challenge. From practical tools to heartfelt discussions, we share what has worked for us and what hasn't. Our goal is simple: to shed light on a difficult topic and offer support to others facing similar struggles. So grab a cup of joe, pull up a chair, and join us for this honest conversation.
Today, we're getting down and dirty with some eye-opening stats about pornography, paired with my own personal story. No fluff, just real talk.

It’s not about 'quitting porn'. It’s about becoming the type of man who doesn’t need it anymore.
Becoming Porn-Free is about understanding why you keep going back to porn, getting to…
Hunter Clark and his co-host Rob Harker teach from personal experience after both being exposed to pornography at a young age and struggling with it for over 15 years.
This isn’t about white knuckling, counting days/streaks, or even trying harder.
It’s about rebuilding confidence, becoming a man your family or future family can trust, and getting to a place where your desire to view porn fades.
And once you understand it for yourself, you can help other men, your kids, and future generations understand it too.
Don’t just quit porn.
Become the man who doesn't need it.
