We made it to episode 26! The WHOLE alphabet!
While this isn’t the end of the podcast, it is the end of Season 1, a major milestone.
So today Lee wants to talk about endings.
When you’ve set a goal or made a plan, what do you do when you get to a milestone or mile marker? Do you keep going or do you call it to an end?
Lee’s advice? Ask yourself: do you want to continue as is, pivot (do it differently in order for it to feel good), or peace out (release the activity so that new opportunities can come in its place)?
It all requires trust -- trusting yourself enough to be able to make this decision. And you don’t have to make these decisions alone. Make them with friends, family, mastermind peers, whoever your support system is that you trust and who allow you to gain an external perspective, but who also understand your business and have your best interests at heart.
More importantly it comes down to you tapping back into your intuition and what you truly want. Do you want to keep going? Is it working?
And when it doesn’t feel good or isn’t working when we reach a mile marker, first it’s important to ask “Did I play full out?” Have I actually given this enough time to work? Have I tried everything that would feel good to have this work? Have I been patient? Am I willing to ask myself if there’s anything I’m missing around this?
Or is it just that it’s taking longer than I thought it would?
If you’ve given it long enough and you still want to do it, but it isn’t feeling good anymore, how can you do it differently? Have any new resources, new opportunities, or anything else come up to make it feel better if you continue because of the work you’ve done to this point?
Or is it truly time to “peace out”?
Most of us quit way too quickly in business. This goes back to persistence...have you given it enough time to work? Or are you expecting your overnight success to ACTUALLY happen overnight?
This is a great episode if you’re feeling the stress of the last half of 2021. There’s still tons of time to make it work...so long as it still feels good.
