Elisa Lam went missing while staying at Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles - her story was immediately picked up worldwide after a video of her erratic behaviour in an elevator went viral.
While the police were trying to find Ms Lam, the internet had it's own theories. When the water started tasting funny, maintenance went up to the water tower on the roof and found Elisa - decomposing and naked in the water tank. Web Slueths went crazy with theories - accusing the police and the hotel of a major cover up - and accusing one man of murder.
The Neflix series goes into a lot of detail about abstract things that don't have anything to do with the case, but what keeps us watching?
Conspiracy theories.... here is my 7 min sum up of why we love theories and why we shouldn't ruin anyone's life for internet points. #elisalam #cecilhotel #netflix

Armie Hammer's exploits on his Finsta have caused a ruffle... is it him, is it ok, what's going on.
All great questions, that Alex Iszatt doesn't really explore. We delve into what is Finsta, is it good, is it bad? If Ariana Grande has one, should we?
Find the whole picture here... along with a little bit of off tangent ranting.

Movies are meant to take us away from reality - but sometimes the obvious fakeness takes us out of enjoying it fully.
One of those such moments are when people get punched once and get knocked out. One punch irl can lead to death of a victim and the puncher jailed for murder.
So... what actually happens when you do get punched?
Helen McCourt disappeared on 9th February 1988 500 yards from her house. Local pub landlord Ian Simms was arrested and charged with her murder, although her body was never found.
He proclaimed his innocence but the DNA was overwhelming - Helen's mother Marie fought for him, and others like him, to stay in prison if they didn't admit where the body was.
The law came into effect, but a little too late for Helen's killer.

“Toxic masculinity” has been described as the negative behaviours or attitudes that stem from adhering to traditional masculine gender norms.
Men should not be defined by their masculinity - toxic or otherwise - but by their character and behaviour as individuals, and honestly, the term has no place in 2021.
We don't need to fix a label - we not to stop labelling people.
