So this rant is about huge disappointment because of a decision Alexia, and I made, and will stick with our decision. Although I'm sure, many of you will disagree. It's my right to choose. This is the second time I've left down others because of it. But this, I had been waiting for five years.

And to top it all off, after filming this episode, I tore a muscle or ligament in my knee, which could take six weeks to three months to heal. MRI tomorrow.  

And I bought a gown for New Year's Eve in the Black Friday Sale, and I will have nowhere to wear it. 

I love doing this show for many reasons. Meeting new people, finding out how much we have in common, and, my favourite, being stunned when I learn the hobbies of these closet writers. (we are all closeted. Writing is a lonely profession, and many of us suffer behind closed doors and alone) 

I hope my podcast isn't just entertaining and gives a platform for all indie artists. I hope it also sends the message that you are not alone. We all suffer from time to time, and how we handle our mental and physical state determines how we cope.

When Fay came on Behind The Pen as a guest, I thought we would talk about her poetry. But it turned out that Fay was very open and honest about her mental health and the daily struggles she has to cope with.  That's where the poetry comes in. Her work is so expressive and emotional. You can feel the pain but also the hope.

We talk about the different styles of poetry, and I even try freestyling. I think I did okay.

Rosemary has been published in several anthologies, and more will come out next year. She loves to write short stories and loves, I mean obsessed, might be the word, with 'My Little Pony' and unicorns. She loves writing in the fantasy genre. In fact, she's a huge fan of fantasy and not just literature. Rosemary loves D&D, sadly, I couldn't get excited about this as I'm not an online gamer, but you will find her on Discord as she's one of the moderators for Brandon Sanderson's official fan club on Discord.

What can I say about this lady? There just wasn't enough room in the episode title to list all her talents and achievements. I first met Rachel in a Zoom writing get-together and then became a regular in her co-working sprints. It's so much more productive when we're working altogether and are there to cheer each other on. Rachel is much more than a cheerleader. She's a prolific author, delving into a wide mix of genres, both contracted books and self-published ones. I love how Bob got the idea for his first publication, then writing in the genre of SteamPunk, and then having five podcasts. I'm very impressed.
