Behind the Shaper with Ross Slaven

Behind the Shaper is a new Lipped series presented by Surf Visuals and Urbnsurf. Ross Slaven is a legendary surfer shaper who has been an integral part of surfing in Victoria for decades. A life member and the inaugural Torquay Boardriders Club champion; Ross has been a successful surfer, shaper, commentator and cultural icon. He has shaped for many of the most successful surfers in Victoria and with so much experience he remains the man the pro's including Kelly Slater and Filipe Toledo call on when they need last minute adjustments for the Rip Curl Pro. The first instalment of Behind The Shaper features well-known and underground shapers from Victoria’s iconic Surf Coast, a birthplace of surfing culture, industry and craftsmanship regarded around the world.
