On November. 17th, 2021, Police show up to the Hicks family home in Verbena Virginia to the lifeless bodies of 31 year old Justin and Amber Hicks while their 2 year-old son Jacob, is unharmed and wandering the scene. The Hicks family was known to be warm and loving and both of them helped people for a living. So police struggled to find a suspect until one day a neighbor sends in a tip saying the Lanz family who lived across from the Hicks might be responsible. When police go to talk to the Lanz brothers, Matthew and Austin, the police would uncover a long and disturbing history between the Lanz family and the family that perviously lived in the Hicks family home.

On Oct. 11, 2022, Manhattan psychiatrist 40 year-old Pamela Buchbinder was sentenced to 11 years in prison after being found guilty to one of the most bizarre crime stories in New York City history — the brutal and nearly fatal 2012 attack on Dr Micheal Weiss, her ex and father of her child. The person who attempted the murder was her cousin and client, 19 year old Jake Nolan. Jake Nolan had a long history of substance abuse and depression and was asked to live with Pamela and her 4 year old son as a free rehab. Pamela would give Jake regular therapy, run drug and alcohol tests, and keep track of his medications. But what started off as a kind gesture, the police would soon start to unraveling the disturbing details of Jake and Pamelas relationship.

In December of 2001, Tracey Richter was home with her three children when a brutal home invasion happened. 2 men came into Traceys home and choked her with her own pantyhose until she fell unconscious while her 3 kids were locked in a room upstairs for safety. On November 23rd 2012, Jordan Davis and his friends Tommy Storms, Tevin Thompson and Leland Bruson spend the day at the mall. It was a beautiful day in Florida and the boys drove around town with rap music blasting and the windows down, enjoying the day. They pull into a gas station while Tommy goes inside for cigarettes and that's when Micheal Dunn and his fiance Rhonda Raur park next to them. On April 12th, 2018, north carolina police received a phone call from Grace Pladl saying that her son, 42-year-old Steven Pladl, had just called her and told her that he had killed his daughter, his daughter's baby, and his daughter's adoptive father. Throughout the call, Steven is referring to his daughter as his “wife” and his daughter's baby as his baby. That's because Steven Pladl was married to his biological daughter, 19-year-old Katie Pladl, and furthermore had a child with her before murdering them both after Katie said she wanted a divorce.

Marianne Bachmeier shot and killed the rapist and murderer of her child, 7-year-old Anna Bachmeier, in an act of justice in 1981 in the courtroom of Anna’s trial. The case sparked tons of media coverage and public debate on whether or not the killing was justified or not. People, especially mothers, took sympathy with Marianne and said they would have done the same thing considering the murderer was a 2 time sex offender and still out in the streets. But when the public starts digging up Marianne’s past they realized that the shooting was not coming from a mother who loved her daughter, but a mom who didn't care about her daughter until she died. Marianne was neglectful of Anna and would frequently make her sleep on park benches, storage rooms and treated her like an adult. But even though Marianne was a bad mother, was this action of killing her daughter's murder righteous? Or just a ploy for more attention.
