Brad Guy is an author, content creator, and mental health advocate from Melbourne, Australia. Last year, he released his memoir Freefall, which details his story of survival against all odds and how he reclaimed his life from PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
We discussed Brad’s journey of acknowledging the trauma from his accident and how it took a long time to accept that he was a trauma survivor with PTSD.
He shared his healing process and the belief that healing is an infinite well—we’re never fully healed, but constantly working through our wounds.
Brad also opened up about embracing his sexuality and navigating it publicly, as well as his evolving relationship with body image, feeling proud of accepting his body and focusing on bulking up.
With a new book on the way, Brad reminds us to "embrace the breakage"—to accept our flaws, love ourselves, and forgive the parts that need healing. We hope you enjoy this deep and inspiring conversation with him.
