Lets travel back to that moment, get away from the current reds, and fondly recall that winning streak that brought baseball back alive in cincinnati. No matter what the situation was, you felt like the reds would win….. Facing a tough pitcher, theyd score enough to win. Down three in the ninth….they’d walk off to gapper dancing on the field. It’;s a great feeling right? Well the same is true in baseball when the wheels are falling off. No matter what the situation, you konw as a fan they’re going to blow it. Alexis diaz has by and large been great for this team oliver the last two years…..in fact, hes been among the very best closers in the national league. But in september last season, he ran out of gas. He was lit up in spring training and we wondered on this show i\f he was gonna be okay. He’s pitched a total of 14 innings this season and allowed 27 baserunners….. 12 hits and 12 walks and three hit batters. All of those happened in the arizona ninth inning last night.
