 Block (SQ) - Shares fell nearly 20% following a new negative report from short seller and research firm Hindenburg. The firm's report was titled "How Inflated User Metrics and “Frictionless” Fraud Facilitation Enabled Insiders To Cash Out Over $1 Billion."

 

Coinbase (COIN) - The stock closed down 8% on Wednesday and was down another 18% Thursday morning following news of an SEC notice to the company related to allegations of securities violations. Several sell-side analysts were negative on the company and stock following the SEC notice, including a downgrade from analysts at Oppenheimer.

 

Clean Harbors (CLH) - A play on a potential upcoming news catalyst. Clean Harbors will host its 2023 Investor Day event on Wednesday of next week, a news event that has been known to be a market-moving catalysts for stocks. Interestingly, Clean Harbors execs sold shares of company stock last week. The stock recently traded at a new 52-week high.

 

Emergent Biosolutions (EBS) - A play on an upcoming FDA-related news catalyst. A panel of FDA advisors will host a meeting to give insight into Emergent's opioid overdose treatment, Narcan, on Wednesday of next week.

 

T Stamp (IDAI) - Thursday morning's penny stock, low float momentum name. Shares were volatile on volume amid apparently no news. The company is a provider of AI-enabled identity authentication software.

 Meta Platforms (META) - Shares were upgraded to the equivalent of a buy rating by analysts at Morgan Stanley Tuesday morning. The analysts set a $250 price target on Meta, a price level that represented a potential upside of about 25% from the stock's current price.

 

 lululemon athletica (LULU) - The company will report quarterly results on Tuesday of next week. Analysts currently expect earnings of $1.71 per share on sales of $1.87 billion.

 

 Roundhill BIG Bank ETF (BIGB) - A new exchange-traded fund (ETF) launching Tuesday. The new ETF contains exposure to only the US six big banks, Bank of America (BAC), Goldman Sachs (GS), Morgan Stanley (MS), JP Morgan (JPM), Citi (C) and Wells Fargo (WFC).

 

 On Holding (ONON) - A play on sports apparel. On is a Swiss company focused on running, hiking, outdoor and tennis. Shares were one of Tuesday morning's biggest winners; the stock was up following favorable quarterly results and guidance.

 

 Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC) - The special purpose acquisition corporation (SPAC) expected to merge with Donald Trump's Trump Media Group, the parent company of Trump's social media platform, Truth Social. Trump was making headlines Tuesday morning amid speculation he would be arrested related to an investigation into a hush-money scheme in connection with adult film star Stormy Daniels. While Trump is catching attention on Main Street Tuesday, it seems shares of Digital World already responded to the news on Wall Street: the stock fell about 4% last week but has since retaken those losses.

🏧 UBS (UBS) - Shares were up 2% Monday morning following the weekend's biggest news item: UBS will acquire struggling Eurobank peer, Credit Suisse (CS). Credit Suisse shares were down more than 60% to under the $1 level.

 

💸 Charles Schwab (SCHW) - With the stock down nearly 30% over the last two weeks, Schwab execs purchased about $7 million in company stock last week.

 

🔋 Enphase Energy (ENPH) - Shares were upgraded to the equivalent of a buy rating by analysts at Raymond James Monday morning. While the analysts said they were "trying to catch a proverbial falling knife," they like the company's exposure to the European solar market.

 

👛 Farfetch (FTCH) - One of Morgan Stanley's top ways to play reacceleration in the e-commerce market. Farfetch is "an online platform connecting sellers and buyers of personal luxury goods."

 

💰 MicroStrategy (MSTR) - A classic way to play bitcoin. Shares were up nearly 5% Monday morning following a weekend rally in bitcoin price. MicroStrategy has much of its cash position in bitcoin.

NIKE (NKE) - The company will report quarterly results on Tuesday of next week. Peer in the athletic apparel space and retailer of NIKE products, Foot Locker (FL), will report their quarterly results on Monday of next week. Investors often use Foot Locker as an indicator for NIKE products.

Boeing (BA) - The company will present at Bank of America's Industrials conference on Wednesday of next week. Boeing could give updates on its latest operations and outlook — including commentary on massive recent deals with Air India and Riyadh Air.

NVIDIA (NVDA) - Morgan Stanley upgraded NVIDIA to an Overweight rating, and raised its price target to $304 per share, saying that “the stock will continue to be hard to ignore in an otherwise challenging semiconductor environment."

Baidu (BIDU) - The Chinese tech company announced Friday that it can now operate robotaxis in a part of the capital city of Beijing with no human staff or driver inside.

 (MO) - One of the world's largest tobacco, cigarette and related products companies will host its 2023 Investor Day on Thursday of next week. Altria has often given updates on its forecast at its Investor Day events.

• Credit Suisse (CS) - Shares rebounded Thursday morning following six straight days of downside. The stock was up about 5% amid news the Swiss National Bank will loan Credit Suisse about $54 billion amid recent concerns with the global banking industry.
• Snap (SNAP) - Traders attributed a 6% rise in Snap shares Thursday morning to a report the Biden administration demanded the Chinese owners of TikTok either spin off their shares or face a US ban.
• Activision-Blizzard (ATVI) - A play on the upcoming beta release of one of the world's most iconic video games, Blizzard's Diablo IV. The games beta will open on Friday of this week; Diablo IV is expected to launch for all users in early June.
• MP Materials (MP) - Shares were down about 6% on Wednesday following concerns related to a Tesla (TSLA) announcement of a rare earth–free permanent magnet for its next generation electric vehicle drivetrain. Investors saw the Tesla news as a potential detriment to MP Materials operations. Analysts at Morgan Stanley on Thursday morning said the Tesla news would have a "limited" impact on MP Materials and reiterated the equivalent of a buy rating on MP.
• LivePerson (LPSN) - A way to gain exposure to the generative AI trend. The company is a provider of chat and support services for websites and other applications. On Wednesday, competitor in the chat support space, Intercom, announced it would be using the newest version of ChatGPT to allow smarter automated interactions with it's customers. The support industry will rely heavily on conversational AI.

• Meta Platforms (META) - The company announced it will reduce its headcount by another 10,000 jobs, a theme which has been playing out at Meta since November of last year. While Meta shares moved lower amid the news, analysts who cover Meta were generally favorable on the news.
• Netflix (NFLX) - Analysts at Oppenheimer Wednesday morning said a recent pullback in Netflix shares creates a buying opportunity for investors. The firm's analysts noted Netflix shares have fallen more than 20% since the stock's recent high following Q4 earnings.
• TrueBlue (TBI) - A provider of staffing and human capital services. In addition to the layoff news out of Meta, another major tech powerhouse, Apple, on Tuesday said it would expand a hiring freeze to include more roles. (note: other staffing stocks: KELYA, HQI, RCRT, RHI, NSP, ALIT, MAN)
• Darden Restaurants (DRI) - A top 2023 pick by analysts at Oppenheimer. Despite recent concerns with the jobs market and the banking industry, Oppenheimer analysts issued a research note Wednesday morning which showed conviction in the firm's bullish call on this restaurant company. Darden is the owner of Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Capital Grille and Longhorn Steakhouse.

• Airbnb (ABNB) - Analysts at Needham maintained a Buy rating on Airbnb shares Tuesday morning and said supply concerns for the company have been "overblown."
• Duolingo (DUOL) - A sneaky way to gain exposure to the generative artificial intelligence (AI) trend. Analysts at Piper Sandler Tuesday morning highlighted the stock as fulfilling a need for AI and said "the company uses AI to generate content, assess learners, and drive engagement."

• Analysts at Oppenheimer Monday noted issues with SVB Financial, Silvergate Capital (SI) and Signature Bank (SBNY) could be "jeopardizing blockchain development in the United States." The analysts lowered their sales estimate for Coinbase amid "heightened risks."
• ZoomInfo Technologies (ZI) -
• Shares fell 10% on Friday amid fallout from the SVB Financial collapse. ZoomInfo issued a filing Monday morning which showed the company has about $20 million in cash with SVB Financial.
• GreenPower Motor Company (GP) -
• A play on electric-powered transit buses. Shares of this low float penny stock were up about 20% amid news the company delivered its first electric refrigerated box truck to a client in the education industry.

• XPeng (XPEV) - This China-based manufacturer of electric vehicles will report quarterly results on Friday of next week.
• Amdocs (DOX) - A way to gain exposure to the generative artificial intelligence (AI) trend. Analysts at Oppenheimer said companies with "niche data sets" like Amdocs, Verint (VRNT) and NICE Systems (NICE) could take advantage of the generative AI theme.
• Hut 8 Mining (HUT) - A play on cryptocurrency mining. News on Friday showed a regulator cleared the company's merger deal with USBTC. In Benzinga Pro's lounge chat, one trader said they were "taking a lotto" trade on Hut 8 Mining at current levels.

• Vertiv Holdings (VRT) - A data center play. Analysts at Oppenheimer highlighted potential beneficiaries from the generative AI trend recently and mentioned data center companies including Vertiv.
• Life Time Group (LTH) - Shares fell about 6% Wednesday and were down another 4% Thursday following mixed quarterly results and some light guidance from the company Wednesday morning. Despite the stock's move lower, analysts at Morgan Stanley and Oppenheimer were favorable on Life Time moving forward.
• Enanta Pharmaceuticals (ENTA) - A play on an upcoming FDA date. The company is expected to release Phase 1 results from a COVID-19 treatment candidate next week at a notable pharma conference.
