Meditation in Yoga, Going Beyond the Physical Poses with Kelly Smith
Meditation is a well-known technique that many people have practiced for centuries. It is a process of focusing on one's breath and thoughts in order to achieve a state of peace and clarity. Meditation can be done in many different ways in yoga, and incorporating the eight nonphysical limbs of yoga will give you a balanced glass. Yoga is not all about the physical poses. Go beyond the lines by incorporating the eight limbs of yoga in your routine by moving, breathing, turning inward, meditating, being kind to yourself and others, working on your self-realization and concentration, and not just doing one part, which is ⅛ of the whole. Allowing yourself 10-30 minutes of meditation in yoga in your routine will help you prime yourself, connect with your authentic self, and show up for yourself and everyone else.
Join the conversation with Kelly Smith as she shares all things meditation, how to do it, and the importance of having this healthy practice in your life in this day and age. Kelly is a globally renowned yoga and meditation teacher, founder of Yoga For You, and host of the chart-topping Mindful in Minutes podcast and its spin-off, Meditation Mama. Kelly specializes in the nonphysical limbs of yoga and is best known for her master training and workshops in meditation, restorative yoga, and yoga Nidra, as well as her international yoga and mindfulness retreats.
