With "Back to School" in everyone's Twitter feed this week, the "Back Atcha" game featured a long list of school supplies between the three personalities on the show.  

 

Morning Bull isn't always the source for great content, believe it or not.  Sometimes, our crack sales staff provides it for us.  You'll enjoy a hilarious story from Phil, one of our talented account reps, when he and his buddies pranked their wood shop teacher with a "shaft" they lathed back at Maryvale High School.

 

Can you believe it's football season already?  Hall of Fame QB Jim Kelly's back on 97 Rock at a new time this fall, every Thursday at 8:15 on Morning Bull!

 

And in spirit of Wayne Brady's hit 90's improv show "Who's Line Is It Anyway?", Morning Bull poses a fun trivia game based on other, uh, "lines" celebrities used back in the day.

What's it like to be put through a legit NFL concussion protocol test?  Rob poses one of the more challenging questions to both Bull and Steve, while both not concussed, to see if they could come up with the correct answers in 30 seconds.

September is not only for back to school, "Music Is Art", Robby Takac's flagship event, returns to Buffalo Riverworks this Saturday, September 7th!

 

Robby caught up with Morning Bull to preview this weekend's festivities, and share some memories of how far the event has come over its 17 year lifespan.

 

Wrapping up the show are Bull, Rob, and Steve's memories of their newspaper delivery days, on this #NationalNewspaperCourierDay.

As inevitable as the Patriots in the Super Bowl, it's the unofficial end of summer with kids back to school this week throughout western New York.

 

Rob and Bull reminisce about what they thought was cool when they wore "back to school" threads back in their day.  It was around when color TV was new, so be kind in the rewind.

 

After that trip down memory lane, Morning Bull's all about football on Tuesday. 

 

First up is a 97 Rock regular, Buffalo News beat reporter Vic Carucci, returning for another season of Bills coverage exclusively on THE classic rock station in Buffalo.

 

He previews the upcoming campaign, and thinks it may result in a playoff appearance for the Bills for the 2nd time in 3 seasons. 

 

Still prepping for a fantasy draft?  Nando DeFino, fantasy football expert for The Athletic gives Bull his "can't miss" and "should miss" picks for this upcoming season.

How on earth is a man with 7 DWI arrests still driving?  Well, this is the question that led Morning Bull to chat with attorney Tom Trbovich Friday morning.

 

A Lockport man was arrested earlier this week his 8th DWI charge.  How is he even allowed behind the wheel at this point? "Your DWI Attorney" Tom Trbovich explains how the process works for us lay people.

 

After the "Did You Know Minute", professional eater Joey Chestnut stopped by, as he'll be back at the Wing Fest eating contest this weekend in downtown Buffalo.  At his fastest, he can down 15 to 20 wings every 60 seconds!  How is this possible?  Check out the audio to find out!

Since so many high-profile starters either graduated or are currently playing in the NFL, in-game PA announcer Bull's got his work cut out for him on new player names and pronunciations.  Rob puts Bull's quick speech skills to the test in a funny game.

 

Football is always on the mind here at Morning Bull, so we have a pair of cool NFL interviews for you.  First is former Patriots offensive lineman Ryan O'Callaghan.  His story's in a memoir out now called "My Life On The Line", about his struggles with his sexuality, and drug addiction, while working in an NFL locker room.

 

After the "Did You Know Minute", Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly talks the biggest story in the NFL at the moment: Andrew Luck's surprise retirement.  As a former player, at the same position, Jim's perspective is invaluable.

 

Wrapping up the podcast is our co-worker, the lovely Sara, who has a very enticing offer for Steve in his dating life.

What a cool opportunity it was for the Thurman Brothers, the band deemed worthy enough to open for Foreigner at Artpark last night.

 

97 Rock hosted a "opening band contest", where Buffalo area bands sent us videos of their work, and out of 75 submissions, the Thurman Brothers were determined to be the best of the best.  Rob, their drummer, checked in with Morning Bull to breakdown just how amazing performing for that huge crowd was really like.

 

What man wouldn't wanna know more about Alison Brie?  The lovely former "Community" star is back with another season of GLOW on Netflix.  She talks about her appearance at the VMA's, learning about wrestling via her show, and working with her husband on an upcoming flick.

 

And with the upcoming "Wing Fest" this weekend at Sahlen Field, Morning Bull welcomed Drew Cerza, the "Wing KIng" himself, in studio to preview this weekend's festivities.

Since OJ Simpson went viral over the weekend, complaining he drafted Andrew Luck in his fantasy team just before his retirement announcement, we had some fun with "OJ Simpson's Fantasy Football Team Names".

 

Did you know you can buy bras at the Fredonia Farm Festival?  Neither did the Ledermans!  Morning Bull interviews the purveyor of the bra that Rob's wife bought last weekend, Jen, about how she's carved out a niche selling clothing at a festival.

 

Morning Bull talks condiments next, when a Buffalo man threw a jar of pickles at his wife in a domestic dispute.  This follows ANOTHER Buffalo condiment draping Buffalo walls in another feat of frustration.

 

So we let Punman explain further what happens when pickles and ketchup make the local police blotter.

 

UB Football Coach Lance Leipold previewed the upcoming season, as they open the 2019 campaign at home to Robert Morris on Thursday at UB Stadium.

 

Then, we celebrate #NationalRockPaperScissorsDay in studio, with a game of our own.

Bull and Rob had to acknowledge the biggest news in football Monday morning, when Andrew Luck's retirement announcement shocked the entire pro sports landscape.  Hear from Bills head coach Sean McDermott, and another Hall of Famer former Bill's take on the decision to retire from pro football after just 8 years in the NFL.

 

Rob spent last week moving his daughter Joli back into Cortland for her sophomore year of college.  And boy, was moving 8 daughters into a house a fun trip for he and his fellow dads.  

 

Jeopardy! legend Ken Jennings talks his latest project "Best Trivia Game Ever", on Game Show Network.  Ken talks "Jeopardy James" unprecedented run on America's favorite quiz show, and doesn't shy away from the possibility of an eventual head-to-head match up with the recent record-breaking champ.

 

With Foreigner closing out Artpark's 2019 summer concert series, Morning Bull challenged listeners to "Rev on the Red Line" for a chance at tickets.  Pretty cool to hear some hot rods revvin' live on 97 Rock this morning.

 

Wrapping up the show was model Bobbie Brown, the famous babe from the "Cherry Pie" video from back in the day.

Whenever wings are brought up, you it always triggers hot takes.  Today was no exception, when it was revealed that this year's Wing Fest will feature a Cardinal sin alongside Buffalo's most famous culinary output: ranch dressing.

 

Bull, Chris and Steve took plenty of reactions about this shocking development, and what we can do, if anything, to make Wing Fest Great Again.

 

There was an update in that insane arrest in Connecticut involving multiple seniors in a very lewd act in a public field, and Bull provides his commentary.

 

We talk a little Bills with Kevin Connors of ESPN next, providing us with a national perspective on Buffalo's favorite team.  How'd he grow up a Bills fan in the first place?

 

And we had to tribute our fallen fish friend, with a Friday funeral.  RIP Moby, 2017-2019.

When Morning Bull visited birthdayhits.com yesterday, we found out some hilarious songs coincide with Bull, Rob, Chris and Steve's 12th birthdays.

 

Well, when our boss, John, revealed his #1 hit on his 12th birthday, we HAD to continue the bit into Thursday.

 

A new Monster.com survey says that over 80% of respondents said they've cried at work at least once.  Are the soon to unionize Spot Coffee employees next?

 

Believe it or not, this story is NOT from Florida, but a group of sex seniors, and we mean SENIORS, were arrested for a very lewd, very public, sex act being performed in a field.  Yes, again this is NOT from Florida.
