Luke Slaughter of Tombstone - "The Homesteaders"
When Colonel Everett and his business associate Mr. Granby show up in
Tombstone, it is both suspicious and problematic. Everett claims to hold a land grant issued by Mexico's president Santa Ana the year before Mexico sold the land to the United States. The U.S. government promised to honor all prior land grants.
Luke's hackles get up when he is sure he recognizes Granby from a previous time -- and questions the legitimacy of the documents.
How well do you know your Mexico / U.S. History? Get a lesson in what is a pretty good story.
Featuring: Sam Buffington, Junius Matthews, John McIntire, Jim McCallion, Bill Quinn, Ed Jerome
Original Air Date: March 23, 1958 on CBS

Fred Wilkins of Northeast Fidelity has a problem. Alvin Summers embezzled $75,000 from a client company and Northeast had to pay up on a surety bond. Before they could find him, Summers disappeared.
Now Fred has received an anonymous phone call from Santa Tomas, Mexico with information about the case. The problem: The call went dead before he could get the man's name or exact location.
Enter Johnny Dollar -- sent off to Mexico on a possible wild-goose chase where he will meet an odd assortment of ex-pat slackers -- several of whom will end up dead.

    Suspense - "The Twist"
Gus Green remembered twelve years earlier when he drove a taxi for a living -- and spent his days dreaming of something better. When he met Van Hauser, a comedy writer for radio, he saw his ticket out of the cab.
Even though they instantly disliked one another, Gus convinced Van to offer him a chance as a writer. Ironically, on their own they were both terrible writers. As a team, however, they were a smash hit.
When his Van announced he was getting married to Julie, Gus figured his partner would break up the team. The solution was simple: He had to get rid of Julie.
    Featuring: Michael O'Shea, Sidney Miller

The Adventures of Maisie - Killer Diller
After her latest employment fiasco Maisie is hopping a freight train back to the City. On a boxcar she meets a hobo who introduces himself as a gentleman and a poet -- one Henry Glendennon Dillon.
Maisie recognizes Henry as a one-time carnival sideshow wrestler who used to to do an act challenging members of the crowd. Maisie sees an opportunity: Become his agent and introduce him (and herself) to the world of professional wrestling.
Fun script, albeit far-fetched, filled with characters who could easily be right out of a Damon Runyon story.
Featuring: Ann Sothern, Sheldon Leonard, Marvin Miller, Peter Leeds, Hans Conreid, Ted de Corsia
Original Air Date: October 4, 1951 on Mutual

The Six Shooter - The Stampede
Britt has signed on with the McAdams Brothers to take a herd of 400 white faced cattle to Abilene. There are only three cowboys on the drive: Britt, Rife and Norm McAdams.
Rife is the much older brother who has been in charge since their parents died many years before when Norm was just a youngster. Rife fears he may not have taught young Norm, who is on his first cattle drive, a strong work ethic. This becomes evident the first time the cattle stampede.
The real problem, however, surrounds a suspected love triangle that involves the two brothers and Norm's wife, Carrie. This makes for a compelling episode about family tragedy with a Shakesperean feel.
