You might, I think, accuse this drama of all of the aforementioned. In addition, the story takes a few too easy turns, and some of the facts are hard to believe. If Dan had never heard of Cymbeline, I could have easily purchased it, but Romeo and Juliet? It's like to claiming you've never heard of the Bible. If I claimed that this movie didn't affect me in spite of all of that, I would also be lying. This is partly because the writing took unexpected turns. The plot develops gradually, with each new development being poignant and beautifully placed.
