Beyond Buffering: The X-Files, Fallout, Yellowjackets, & more!

Welcome to Doomcoming, a Beyond Buffering podcast where hosts Jenny Owen Youngs and Kristin Russo cover Yellowjackets one episode at a time, spoiler free.

Welcome to Doomcoming, a little "winter treat" of a rewatch podcast where we dig into the first season of Showtime's Yellowjackets one episode at a time.

This week we are talking about 1.02 "F Sharp"! There's a whole lot of Misty, a nice serving of Wilson Phillips feelings, a wonderful impression of Adult Nat by Jenny, and Kristin getting caught up once again in rabbit-stew emotions.

Our episodes are spoiler free, so you can watch along with us in real time if you haven't seen the series yet, and each episode will also include a segment at the end called "What's The Buzz" where we talk about some spoilery theories for those of you who have seen the whole first season and who might be as deep into Reddit as Jenny...

Welcome to Buffering: A Rewatch Adventure! While our trek through Buffy has come to a close, our podcasty love affair with iconic television is just beginning. If you’ve been paying attention, you already know that in 2023 we’ll be looking for the truth (which we have heard is out there), but we wanted to kick this winter off together with a little jaunt through the Canadian wilderness.

Beginning November 30th, we’ll be serving up steaming skewers of Doomcoming, a fresh and juicy Yellowjackets podcast, where we’ll be rewatching Season 1 together, spoiler-free, in eager anticipation of Season 2.

All of our conversations about cannibalism, aliens, and the 1990s will be happening right here in this very feed.

It's a scythe, it's an axe, it's a great big .... one handed weapon, okay?! Buffy is BACK, the team is back together, the sword has been pulled from the stone, there's an old lady (she looks great for her age) in a tiny temple who has been there for so long, Spike has feelings, Faith has feelings, WE have feelings, and... Angel is back?!?!?! A doozy indeed. It's Season 7 Episode 21: End of Days.

LaToya Ferguson, pod-nemesis, joins us in conversation about S7E19: Empty Places! There are hot pockets, sexual tension on the Revello porch that might make your head set aflame, a proper recipe for a bloomin' onion, and a power struggle for the ages that results in Buffy being ousted from her own home...
