FIFA, I understand the business aspect, but can we at least get some consistency.
Big news from FIFA as they suspend the one-match ban for Folarin Balogun for his red card after a VAR review of his challenge against Bosnia & Herzegovina’s Defender Tarik Muharemovic getting his studs on Muharemovic’s ankle/achilles area and took him down with no intent to injure.
The European press particularly in the UK has been particularly biting toward Paraguay’s performance v France. But in the South America the view is different.
This represents a long-term cultural clash I have long been sucked into. And we must appreciate cultural differences while calling out excesses and racism. But I understand it’s a slippery slope.
This video is the last of the Round of 32 matches, and it gave us a big memory as Cape Verde almost pulled off the biggest upset of the World Cup. Nearly knocking out Argentina. Egypt defeats Australia on penalties, and Colombia edges Ghana.
Reviewing these matches: Australia Vs. Egypt, Argentina Vs. Cabo Verde, & Colombia Vs. Ghana. I will also show a Round of 16 Schedule.
Canada are out. In the end, the injuries cost them the little bit of quality they needed to get over the hump in a match where they controlled the first 45 minutes and large portions of the second half.
Was it recency bias or really an all-time classic? We assess that in this video.

On tonight’s show, we discuss these second-to-last games as the Round of 32 winds down, and we will soon get to the Round of 16. We had a banger of a match in the second half in Toronto between Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric; Spain destroyed Austria, and the Swiss easily handled Algeria.
We review Spain Vs. Austria, Portugal Vs. Croatia & Switzerland Vs. Algeria
Argentina survived a knockout round scare on Friday night in Miami Gardens, defeating small but mighty Cape Verde 3-2 in the Round of 32.
My thoughts on the game, the moment, the incredible legacy it will leave, why it will cement the Round of 32 as commonplace moving forward, and missing my friend Grant Wahl as the magic unfolded in South Florida.
