The women’s game continues to evolve in this country and the Super League’s improvement thus far this campaign on the pitch reflects that.
The changes we discussed on Saturday have been unanimously approved. Now comes the hard part.

Read The Athletic article here .
MLS Next Pro will join MLS in shifting to an August to May calendar in 2027. The arguments against shifting the calendar are theoretically sound and were until yesterday worthy of discussing , but in my opinion they are now irrelevant for USL.
If the other am men’s professional leagues are playing on one Calendar in this country, you cannot play on the other and expect to fully take part in the transfer market and player side. Complicating this even more is if promotion and relegation is implemented and the player market is self-contained and not linked to MLS It could be disastrous financially for the USL clubs.
Why shouldn’t two giants from the same league clash before the knockout rounds?
I understand that UEFA needs structural limits or a cap to manage country distribution, but completely prohibiting teams from the same country from facing off early on is ridiculous.
Imagine getting hired for one of the biggest jobs in international football, walking out for your official presentation, and having the Sporting Director tell the entire world on live television that you were actually their third choice.
