Since death comes when the spirit leaves the body (James 2:26), then resurrection involves the spirit returning to the body

The father raised Jesus from the dead, but the Son also had authority to raise Himself, this was, in fact, a miracle.

It is because of His resurrection that Christians have the “living hope” that 1 Peter 1:3-4 talked about.

Now that we are past the marriage and relationship part of the letter we have to remember why Peter wrote this letter. He wrote this letter to prepare Christians for a “fiery trial” of persecution.

Three important phrases sum up Isaiah’s second message and its proclamation of God’s future work.
