  • Inoculated with Dead Christianity

I wish I could remember the first time I heard these words, “Inoculated with Dead Christianity” so I could give credit to the one who offered a profound concept, that has been in existence since Biblical times, but is now surfacing more publicly in America.

Further, as our culture continues to move away from a Biblical Christian worldview, we need to expect that many who professed faith in Christ did so without a heart change, and with little or no discernable Christian fruit (James 3:17). That means when persecution of our beliefs continues to escalate, the process of deconstruction, or the turning away from traditional Christianity, will continue to significantly increase (1 Tim. 4:1).

  • Mankind Attracted to the Supernatural

How many movies, books, and especially TV series are predicated on the fact that “something is out there”, beyond what we can see and experience in the natural world? What is it about the supernatural that is so intriguing that Hollywood is able to make so much money under this genre? Finally, and most significantly, why do nearly all these plotlines portray the supernatural as being evil and that it is up to man to thwart their malevolent objectives?

    Biblical Christian Awareness

The acceptance of the supernatural in fictional entertainment by the general population allows humanity to experience the sense that there is, in fact, “something out there”, without having to acknowledge a supreme being, God. Perhaps some could use this reality as a tool for evangelism. However, the deeper, nefarious nature of this trend has more to do with the habituation of the view that there is an evil supernatural that is not under the control of a supreme, all-powerful God who has offered mankind a solution. Satan is alive and well on this earth, working his plan of destruction while refusing to accept his eventual failure, clearly predicted and presented by the end of the Biblical, non-fiction account.

  • What is Christian Nationalism and is it Biblical

There is a lot of chatter about the subject of Christian Nationalism, most of it derogatory. It represents another example of a long and growing list of what was once considered good, that is now considered bad. So, what is Christian Nationalism, and is it Biblical?

In the end, how blessed would this country be if we returned to many of the moral values we have set aside over the last number of years, and the majority of us actually had the Holy Spirit in our hearts? This is the true definition of “Christian Nationalism”.

  • Current Polling Results Show Consistency

The level of trust Americans have in the media and its honest coverage of the news remains low. According to a Gallup poll released in mid-October, only 34% of Americans believe the mass media report the news “fully, accurately and fairly”.

  • Can the Fear of Hell Save Someone

I received a comment from a reader whom I highly respect. He referenced an article from Tim Keller on the subject of Hell and the reality that Jesus talked more about that place of literal torment than He did about Heaven.  The point of the comment and the article itself was the danger of using Hell as an evangelistic tool to draw the lost to repentance. I respectfully disagree. The quote below from Keller summarizes the concern for the fear of hell saving someone.

  • Evangelism is not Intended to “Fix” the Seeker but to “Save” them

God gives Christians the opportunity to share their faith if we would just remain open to the opportunities all around us. So many times, we are resistant to open the door of our beliefs for fear that controversial issues like abortion or homosexuality will surface and destroy a friendship, a fledgling relationship, or perhaps brand us as “one of those narrow-minded bigots”.

“For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.” - 1 Corinthians 13:12

  • Christians and their Worldview – Do We Need to Back Off and Shut Up?

I have received many comments from readers who strongly express the view that church and state need to be kept separate. Of course, what they are really saying is that Christians should not be meddling in politics by voicing their opinions publicly. If the Christians would just silence their views on topics such as abiding by laws already on the books, expressing outrage over our moral decay, abortion, and homosexual behaviors of all kinds, politicians would not have a need to cater to their concerns and the progressive agenda could be accelerated.

  • Does Satan Know Your Name

The book of Job, in the Old Testament, is interesting because it exposes the reader to a rare view of the supernatural realm, by offering detailed conversations between God and Satan. Since the Bible is an instruction manual for life, these discussions are unknown to Job, yet have significant consequences on his life and those of his family. For us, it offers a perspective on the question, does Satan know our name as well?

    Conclusion

We live in a world that is drifting toward the abyss. Many of us are lemmings, totally unaware and unaccepting of the reality of our condition (2 Peter 3:3-4). So many folks these days are like the frog in the pot, unwilling or unable to see the moral decay that is undermining our nation (1 Thes. 5:3-4). As Biblical Christians, we need to be salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16). Satan does need to know our name and we need to have the courage and conviction to accept the reality of what that may mean (2 Tim. 3:12, Matt. 5:10, 1 Peter4:12-14, John 15:18, 2 Cor. 12:10, Luke 6:22).

  • What Makes a Christian, a Christian?

There are so many who wish to group people under the banner of "Christian". The word, which once was considered a positive sign of high moral standards, has fallen in many circles to the defining of a shrinking band of legalistic, nationalistic, subversives. As with so many terms these days, the extremes are used to label or tarnish the entire group. In the case of Christians, there are more opinions on who they (we) are as there are individuals who believe they're on the team. Let's take a step back, survey the term and try to provide a clear definition that has some eternal value.

    Conclusion

Of course, the Bible has a great deal more to say on every point above. And much of the anti-Christian theology which seems to have attached itself to the term should drop away as we humbly study God’s Word. But again, none of us have the capacity to see God’s perfect truth through our continuing sin nature and the veil that clouds us from fully knowing the Lord (1 Cor. 13:12) while on this earth.

The real point for both Christians and non-Christians is to not get caught up in the weeds of social change, drifting morality, and legalism. They are things to reflect on, in our search for truth, but Heaven is not dependent on them. Both Christian and non-Christian vitriol over secondary matters like abortion, homosexuality, or who will win the next election fall away when one considers that our time on this earth is like a vapor that dries up unexpectedly at death (James 4:14), yet our eternal destiny lasts forever.

Christians, keep the main thing the main thing: Christ and Him crucified and risen.

Non-Christians consider the joy that faith brings on earth, and the eternal peace it brings after death.

  • Poll Just Released on Transgender Minors

The Trafalgar Group published a poll from a survey of likely voters earlier this month on the subject of transgender indoctrination of children. The poll had a “Margin of Error” of 2.9% with a “Confidence” level of 95%.  It should be stated at the outset that Trafalgar has been rated A- in their historical predictive accuracy on determinable metrics (such as election results) by ProjectThirtyEight, a non-partisan analytics company that tracks all the major polling organizations.  The results were striking.
