There has been a great deal of controversy and confusion associated with the recent decision by the Supreme Court regarding what was considered by many to be settled law in the case of Roe vs. Wade on the subject of abortion.
Much of the rhetoric in the media and elsewhere has revolved around a false assumption that pro-life advocates have been the catalyst for this upheaval. Further, since the Bible offers what many Christians believe is a clear message that sentient life begins in the womb, there is further vitriol toward Biblical Christians as the underlying cause of the court revision.

The Point
One can believe that it is God and God alone that drags the sinner to the cross and to their salvation. However, we, as mankind, have no earthly idea who God has predestined for eternal life and what method of evangelism God has chosen from eternity past to perfect His will. Among all the challenging theological constructs students of the Bible wrestle with, in my opinion, this is a no-brainer. The Bible calls the Christian to share the love of Christ with a lost and dying world AND leave the fruits of that encounter(s) in God's hands.

Some, wrongly believe that God is like a watchmaker. He brought creation into existence and then stepped back, continuing to view the world from a distance as we slowly wind down. Those who hold to this worldview may see parts of the Bible as an instruction manual for life, similar to the owner’s manual one gets in the box with a new appliance or electronic gadget. As with any “owner’s manual”, one can choose to read it and follow the directions, or not. Further, since the instructions are often translated into many languages, often there are typos and strange wording that can be discounted.
Intelligent Design may be on the path to a saving faith but that footpath is narrow (Matt.7:13-14) and one must reach the end of it… having faith that stems from the heart, not the head… in order to find salvation and God’s peace, which transcends all understanding (Luke 15:31).

HuffPost published an article Tuesday that shocked me, something that has reached a very high bar these days. It was not on the bane of Ultra-MAGA Republicans, the need for Federal abortion legislation, or justification for an open border. It had nothing to do with QAnon or Jan 6th or pregnant men. It was all about the latest Disney TV offering on their FXX and Hulu Networks.
We have two tools to combat the proliferation of evil (in this case, hidden in “horror comedy”). First, if people stop watching Disney-based programing and stop visiting Disney venues such as Disney Word, Disney Land and Disney cruises because of the shift in their woke ideology, stockholder profits will drop and the internal direction of the company will be forced to reconsider the economics of their decisions. Second, as Biblical Christians we need to pray that the lord of the air (Eph. 2:1) will have no power to continue his advances on our nation.

With an approaching 70 years on this earth (next January), perhaps I could offer a more longitudinal perspective than many on where our country has come from.
As I have mentioned on a few posts over the last year, the illustration of the frog-in-the-pot has great relevance as we look at where we find ourselves today, while facing an uncertain future. As a quick synopsis, if one puts a frog in boiling water, he will immediately jump out. However, if one puts the same frog in a pot of luke-warm water, while slowly turning up the heat, he will not realize the trouble he is in until it is too late. I would offer the points below from that perspective and without comment.
Are we building a better country/world for the next generation? A Fox News poll from August of this year suggests the majority of Americans (70%) believe “life will be worse for the next generation than it is today”. That is up 29 points from just two years ago.

I believe the Biblical Christian window for evangelism is slowly closing. As Matthew makes the point, using the Parable of the 10 Virgins, each of us has to choose both a path for ourselves and a focus on what should be a priority for the remainder of our lives. Will we be ready, accepting Christ as our Savior and Lord while serving Him by sharing the Good News? Or, will we choose to, reject Him and, by doing so, miss out when Christ returns for His bride, the Church (Eph. 5:24-27).

Every once in a while, I receive comments on the nuances of translation interpretations. These slight changes in meaning (as one moves from Greek or Hebrew to English) can have a dramatic impact on theology. So, how does one decide the meaning of a Scripture verse?
A simple example is Matthew 5:48…
YOU THEREFORE MUST BE PERFECT, AS YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS PERFECT.
Finally, the assimilation of parts or all of the above sources often boil down to common sense within the framework of an acceptance that God wrote an infallible love letter to mankind and is not a God of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33). It is important to filter your understanding of specific verses through the lens of your core theology and Personal Statement of Faith. These are the beliefs you hold close, and changing them would take a major paradigm shift in your Biblical Christian worldview that would need to be a conscious decision, not a slippery slope or frog-in-the-pot deconstruction in order to better conform to cultural changes. God the Father (Mal. 3:6), Jesus (Hebrews 13:8) and the Bible are unchanging (Matt. 5:18, Psalm 119:89, 1 Peter 1:25).

Over the last couple of years, “Deconstruction” became a popular buzzword in the carnal christian lexicon.
Summary
Deconstruction means one is exploring the foundations of their faith and subsequently moving away from the Bible, away from fellowship with other Biblical Christians, while establishing a broad, “open christianity” that conforms to their view of what is truth, moral, and right, rather than God’s view, (based on His Word). It involves replacing the God of the Bible with a false god based on what mankind “feels” He should think and believe. It means abdicating traditional beliefs about Salvation, Heaven & Hell, Jesus as fully God and fully man, and the Bible being authored by the God of the universe.
Recommitment means a recognition that one has drifted away from God and has a desire to return to His precepts and commands. This can represent a broad range of actions from a simple prayer of repentance to a full revisit of one’s foundational theology, with the objective of accepting the Bible and God’s traditional commands found within its pages as ultimate authority.
Sadly, the direction of the first group is headed away from God. The direction of the believer in the second group is heading toward a loving and righteous God who forgives.
Galatians 5:7-8 You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion is not from him who calls you.

While doing a search on our website, BCWorldview.org, for the word “deconstruction” I was surprised to discover I had personally referred to the concept in 20 articles over the past nine months. That is likely just the tip of the iceberg when considering responses to questions or challenges from Medium readers.
Conclusion
Man’s vain attempt to “reveal [Biblical Christian] inadequacy” is not only attractive to atheists and agnostics, but to deconstructionists by encompassing all the new twisted variants of their former traditional faith-based Christianity.
All are welcome and stroked in this burgeoning group, looking for internet-based fellowship as a poor substitute to fill the vacuum left in their hearts.
Of course, my viewpoint seems harsh, narrow-minded, and bigoted. However, if our place in eternity was at stake, which in large part it is, I believe calling deconstruction (with little expectation of a Biblical Christian reconstruction) for what it is, is justified.

I have received a number of comments surrounding what it means to be a Christian today. Not only is there a wide range of theological implications to this question, there are eternal implications as well.
Pastors and Bible teachers want to make Salvation a hard line in the sand. You’re either saved or lost. You have either “asked God, through Christ, to come into your life, and He has filled you with the Holy Spirit and and saved you from your sins”, or not. For God, it truly is that simple. For man, the reality that no one wants to talk about is that true Salvation is much more nuanced and harder to pin down.
