The Biden administration aims to hire 500 AI experts by 2025 to strengthen the federal government's AI workforce. In the first quarter of 2024, there has been a significant increase in applications for AI roles across federal agencies. The agencies have already hired over 150 AI professionals and plan to hire several hundred more by the end of summer. These hires will join through tech talent programs such as the U.S. Digital Corps and the Presidential Innovation Fellows program.
