That losing streak is looking more and more like a thing of the past.

The Colorado Avalanche used three 1st period goals to jump on the Calgary Flames early as they went on to their third straight victory with a 4-1 win in Alberta. Mikko Rantanen scored twice, the first one setting a franchise record in getting to 30 goals in the fewest games, beating out Joe Sakic by one game. Artturi Lehkonen added the other two goals as Alexandar Georgiev and solid defense kept Calgary from getting back in the game.

Now the Avalanche take a day off and can hopefully get Cale Makar back as he was a late scratch and is listed as day-to-day.
