The Mandalorian's second season ended with the return of Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 as they take the child, Grogu, for Jedi training. But was Ahsoka Tano right in seeing a darkness in Grogu that could lead to Grogu following the dark path of Anakin Skywalker? What behavior patterns tell us that Grogu might already be evil? In the first episode of The Big Question in 2021, Erik Voss and Filup Molina analyze Grogu's MORAL ALIGNMENT, placing him on a grid ranging from Good to Evil and Lawful to Chaotic. Where did Grogu learn to use the FORCE-CHOKE move... and does he enjoy using it?

It’s time for New Rockstars’ fifth annual performance review, in which we look back at our theories and predictions from the past year and force ourselves to own up to WHAT WE GOT WRONG. Filup Molina holds Erik Voss to task for his many, many pitches and speculations for Marvel titles (Black Widow, WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Spider-Man 3), Star Wars (The Mandalorian, Clone Wars), DC (The Batman, Justice League Snyder Cut), and other titles like Tenet, The Boys on Amazon, and Rick and Morty. While 2020 was an odd year with several film delays, a few major releases did come out and render our theories surprisingly right or very, very wrong. What score does Erik deserve for 2020? And what predictions did Erik end up getting RIGHT?

RD-D2 knew horrifying truths about Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Leia... so why the hell didn't he tell anyone? Calm is offering a special limited-time promotion of 40% off a Calm Premium subscription at http://calm.com/BIGQUESTION.

Star Wars' R2-D2 has been at the center of the Skywalker saga since the beginning, from A New Hope through the prequels, avoiding getting his memory erased in Revenge of the Sith, and playing major roles in the sequel trilogy and the Clone Wars animated series. Along the way, Artoo picked up all kinds of secrets -- dark truths the droid never divulged to ANYONE. In this episode of Big Question, Erik Voss and Tommy Bechtold examine WHAT R2-D2 knew, WHEN he knew it, and WHY he never said anything. Was Artoo trying to protect Luke by going along with Obi-Wan's lie about Darth Vader / Anakin Skywalker? Did Artoo know Luke and Leia were brother and sister? Did Anakin and Padme MAKE ARTOO WATCH?

And why has Star Wars kept changing the mysterious backstory of YADDLE, the female Jedi Master of the same species as Yoda and Grogu?

Avengers Infinity War showed the death of Vision, a death that appeared to be permanent after Avengers Endgame, when Vision remained one of the few fallen Avengers who did not resurrect when Hulk snapped the victims of the Blip back into existence. But now that Vision appears to be returning in WandaVision, it brings up the question of Vision's soul and consciousness. As an android composed of many components -- the Mind Stone, JARVIS, uh... we honestly forget the others -- it's hard to pin down the true sentience and humanity of Vision in order to explain his possible return in Marvel's Phase 4. But in this episode of the Big Question, Erik Voss and Tommy Bechtold dive deep into the mystery of Vision's digital existence, and what real-world biology, metaphysics, and existentialist philosophy can tell us about about the nature of Vision's existence and soul.

Four years ago, Captain America Civil War (2016) polarized Marvel fans into two opposing sides: Team Cap and Team Iron Man. Now that we face another election year, New Rockstars celebrates Election Day 2020 by revisiting the question in today's political climate... if Tony Stark and Steve Rogers were to run for American president in 2020, which Avenger would win? And which would make a better president? Erik Voss and Joshua Ovenshire (Joven) analyze the political leanings of Iron Man Tony Stark compared to Captain America Steve Rogers. How did Tony Stark's political beliefs evolve from his war-mongering libertarian ideals in Iron Man to the strict regulations of the Sokovia Accords?
