Iowa started strong in their opening Big Ten Tournament matchup Wednesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, beating the Badgers 81-54.

Down 6-9 early in the first quarter, Iowa rattled off 19 straight points, held Wisconsin scoreless in the final six minutes and change, all while forcing five turnovers jumping out to a 25-9 lead.

Sydney Affolter scored 9 first quarter points to lead the Hawkeyes. She finished with those 9 points and added 7 rebounds playing only 18 minutes after the Hawks went up big.
