Listen in as I speak with inspirational new author Nell Dorée Townsend about her transition from a 20 year career in dog training, creatively continuing to share her knowledge but in a completely different way!
About Nell:
Not one to keep doing the same thing over and over, Nell’s life experiences have been varied. She started out as an Air Force officer and then took on the job of mom and teacher schooling her two boys for the duration (best decision ever). From there she continued with her teaching but with dogs and their people. Now, over twenty years later, she decided to teach via a story.
Over the years she shared her life with Millie (Border Collie mix), Duchess (St. Bernard), Blondie (German Shepherd), Major, (Border Collie/Tervuren mix), Boris (Doberman/Lab mix), Jessy (Doberman), Fi (Doberman) and Hobie (Doberman). Her current canine companions are Mae (Doberman) and Eva (German Pinscher).
She currently lives in NW Florida with her husband, Mae and Eva.

About Clara's Wish:
New beginnings sound exciting unless you’re an orphan. Fourteen-year-old Clara Forbes is in a new home, new school and new state. And as the ‘new girl’ in a small town, she is definitely the outsider. She has no friends, and feels like she’s invisible to the world outside her home where she lives with her grandparents. Growing up Clara was never allowed to have any animals but when she learns that her dad’s best friend was a dog, she goes in search of her own for a companion. Taking Baxter in isn’t all smooth sailing as she has no experience and his own challenging past brings numerous struggles. Searching for help she finds a trainer only to be given bad advice. As a result she nearly loses her new best friend. She gave him a second chance at life when she rescued him, and nearly botched it, but he didn’t give up on her. Together they work hard to reach a place of trust and cooperation only to find themselves in a life and death situation. Will their bond and training be enough?
