This book truly was transporting. I loved the characters and found myself caring what happened to them. As a background setting, it offered a glimpse into a foreign land and culture. Hand-knotted middle eastern rugs.

The heroine is a truly complex character, whose joys and sorrows I felt with her, along with the breath of the desert's heat.

Well-written, well-read

This is a very well-written Blaze story - interesting plot, well-motivated characters and steamy scenes! This won't be my last Marie Donovan book. I also LOVE this narrator. This is the second time I've listened to her and she's fantastic.

Stripped

I liked the narrator alot. But, I felt that I missed something from an other book. The characters were a little shallow at first and I didn't like the main character much.

Julie is a very fine and well read author. She writes with great fluency and keeps you riveted in anticipation of coming events in her stories. I only wish she were reading this in person! I only saw one of her many wonderful books at audible.com and since I am better at listening to audible reading I wish she had more here online!

brilliantly written

it takes a wee while to bed down into the character's but when you get to know them the story is one in which, keeps you reading can't put it down. Loved it.

Sex Quotient

I was not impressed with this story. Actually I think it was the reader that made the story less than impressive. I didn't care for the voices she gave the characters...especially the hero, most of the time the voice made him sound like a surfer dude with a bad southern accent. I also was less than thrilled with the heroine in this story, I found little to like about her. IMHO she never really fully redeemed herself, although by the end of the book she was tolerable.

Clever concept, dull execution

Orgasms cost you IQ points? Sounds like an interesting premise. Unfortunately it quickly becomes just another romance until even the sexplay becomes repetitive. The characters, the business environment and the dialogue turn implausible and unsympathetic. Another reviewer has mentioned the reader - I agree with the comments but was not as disturbed by the voice as by the story. Not funny. Take a pass.

Another late night

Where does Catch and Release rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?

It is in my top 10.

What other book might you compare Catch and Release to and why?

A cross between Lee Cross and James Paterson with a romantic angle. About the time you think you know what will happen the story takes a sharp turn in another direction.

Which scene was your favorite?

The main character, Steve, is a psychologist with a great sense of humor. His new friend Jennifer aka J is a strong willed woman with a crazy life. In one scene she is caught up in a shoot out in which Steve has to drive to her rescue. His trip is through the wood where he destroys his Hertz rental car. That scene and the new chapter were great.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Not all vacations are created equal.

A friend told me about the book and when I found it on audio I used my credits to try it out. Unfortunately I started late in the evening and couldnt put it down until very late. It was worth the loss of sleep. I am not a huge romance fan, but the interaction between Steve and Jennifer was beautiful, especially with Steves wit and humor. Highly recommend for mystery and thriller fans.

This book is such an adrenaline rush, always twisting the story to keep you guessing what would happen next!

Intrigue and thrills, mixed with just the right amount of romance, leads to a passionate character driven story. The development of each of these characters in such a short glimpse of the lives leaves you wanting more.

Such an exciting world to be swept away into while reading this book! Don't miss it!

What a wild ride

What did you love best about Catch and Release?

So many things but above all was the humor that Steve brought to a wild and twisting plot. The other main character is Jennifer and you never know what she will get Steve into but his ability to add his dry humor is fantastic.

A fun change of pace from the usual fangs and claws

Time is running out for shape shifter Josh, he must heed the call to find a mate for if he doesn't the consequences are dire. But when he comes across Libby and her young sister Maggie struggling to avoid being forcibly taken back to the 'Community' they have fled, Josh's protective instincts trump his more basic 'needs' and he will risk everything to keep Libby and Maggie safe.

I have been a huge shape shifter fan for years but I can honestly say that I have never come across another leading man like Josh. A were-unicorn stallion - how cool is that? And that he is a protector at heart who is willing to sacrifice his future - and lose the chance of a mate and family -to keep Libby and her sister free from those who hunt them, makes him doubly appealing. I also liked the romance part of the story, Josh has good chemistry with the 'unsuitable' Libby and I liked the conflict generated by the background plot even though I didn't care for the 'what' of the background plot itself and don't think that the secret that is lurking in the shadows of Libby's closed community make much sense.

Still I liked it overall, and Shifter's Destiny was nice light paranormal romance read from Anna Leonard, who is the romance alter ego of my beloved Retrievers' author Laura Anne Gilman.

Five Stars

Another great Anna Leonard story. Love her shifters, they all have a story.

A Cute Enjoyable Cozy

Grand Central Station was an appropriately titled fun quick cozy. It was an easy listen with likeable characters and storyline and a relaxing way to spend a rainy afternoon. Two busy people, Victoria and Jack meet and fall in love in Vegas and Jack gets a built in extended family. This is the first book I've listened to written by Marsha Casper Cook and I hope to hear more from her.

Sangita Chauhan's performance was terrific. I enjoyed listening to her. She had a wonderful tone with great voice inflections making this an enjoyable listen. I'll listen to her again as well.
