  • What I’ve Learned (Birthday Reflections)

Every year, like many of my mentors, I enjoy reflecting on what I've learned after another year on this Earth.

This year feels similar to the year I started the podcast.

Things are changing. I'm evolving. It's been confusing and exciting.

I share everything I've been doing to achieve these new goals and how you can apply them to your recovery and transformation journeys.

  • Having a Baby with Renae Saager

Renae just had a baby! She joins us to share unconventional experience of being pregnant, running a business, not being too worried, having an emergency C-section, and how she handled all of it while being recovered from alcohol and bulimia.

In all honesty, this interview was healing for me. It defied my expectations in the best way. For all of you who feel hesitant to have children due to the constraints of societal norms... Listen to this interview.

Lastly, my mic has a horrible echo during the interview. But I wanted to post this interview anyway because Renae's perspective was golden. So please, just skip over my voice if you can't stand it!

  • Unconditional Permission & Belief with Marcus Kain

Marcus joins me on the podcast today to discuss bulimia and binge eating recovery topics we’re seeing pop up lately.

    We cover:

Unconditional Permission to Eat, what it means to us, why it’s helpful, and how to apply it without eating everything in sight.

Belief systems and how it prevents people from recovery. Marcus in particular was vulnerable enough to share a conversation he had with someone who had such limiting beliefs that Marcus was unable to help them. We speak at length about this, why this person had trouble changing, what could have been different, and how it’s hard for all of us to change our beliefs.

Weight loss with eating disorder-informed guidance and not following unrealistic guidelines. We chat about how post-recovery people can get trapped back into their eating disorder by not being careful with weight loss goals. Equally, we discuss how weight loss is a possibility if done sustainably.

  • Weight loss, pregnancy, urges, & bulimia with Stella Rivers

Stella was a whole vibe... :)

Stella Rivers, a certified coach from the Institute of the Psychology of Eating and a certified NLP practitioner plus a former bulimia struggler, joins me on the podcast today to discuss:

Our candid thoughts on weight loss, how it’s not wrong, but our firm belief that recovery must come first.

Her experience of pregnancy and dealing with her body changing.

Both our experiences of having urges post-recovery, why it’s normal, and how we both deal with them with much less drama and way more ease.

How we tend to have "unicorn syndrome" and how that keeps us in bulimia by binging on the bullshit.
