  • Binge SportsCast: Welcome to the Binge Football League
Here it is, folks. The inaugural Binge Football League is now in session, and what better way to kick things off than bringing you an all-new edition of the Binge SportsCast. Join me as I bring you an NFL preview disguised as the fantasy football draft for the BFL. Not only does Tom Brady’s publicist, Episode IV Jack Falvey, join me, but for the first time in Binge SportsCast history, I also welcome a few of my listeners to the program to join us for the live draft. Art Murillo, Chad Forsythe, and legendary hypeman Denny Luis join Jack and I as we make our picks, break down the NFL, and discuss some important topics like the difference in rooting for your fantasy team versus the actual team you root for. And let me tell you, shit gets real.
Before you listen to the show, let me break down how things will go for the BFL this season. If you listened to my previous show, or follow @BingeSports and @THElukenorris on Twitter, you know that after getting a few guys on the staff to join, I opened this league up to my listeners, and they responded very quickly to get this thing filled up. Hell, I even had to take it from 10 to 12 teams and there were still people who wanted in, but we just couldn’t add anybody else. After listening to the show, come right back here to check out the rosters for each team and make your pick at the bottom of the page on which team you think will win the inaugural season of the BFL. Every week, I’ll be bringing you that week’s matchups, the updated standings, and perhaps the best smack talk of the week. And if you could have seen the board while we were drafting, believe me, you’ll want to see more. So take a listen to this ground-breaking edition of the Binge SportsCast and keep coming back every single week to check in on the BFL. Also debuting this week is the Binge Sports Pick ‘Em Contest, where you have the chance to win new Binge Media merchandise, which I will personally buy for you. To check out the rules and get in on the action, click HERE.
Enjoy the show, and don’t forget to come back to check out the rosters and cast your votes for the Week 1 matchups and the team you think will take it all in the inaugural BFL season.

  • Binge Movie Aftertaste w/ Carl Gottlieb and Michael Grais
Strap yourselves in folks, as the Binge Movie Aftertaste brings you its biggest show yet. Joined this week by special co-host Johnny Moreno, we interview two people who have had hands in two of the most successful films ever made. And as if that wasn’t enough, there are a few Poltergeist and Steven Seagal stories to also tide you over. What more do you want from us?
The very beginning of the show consists of me catching up with Moreno, as he gives details on how his trip to Wizard World Chicago was, complete with stories of meeting up with the great Adam Simon. How does it feel being someone who doesn’t like comic books roaming around a comic book convention? Moreno gives great insight.
We then get into my interview with the great Carl Gottlieb. Now before people jump down my throats, let me say: I KNOW I forgot to ask about the Indianapolis speech. But pretty much everything else is covered in this thirty plus minutes, as Gottlieb gives great insight to what it was like coming up the ranks with the great Steve Martin and Steven Spielberg. The making of Jaws is discussed at length, as Gottlieb makes sure to give me hell about having not read his book Jaws Log (it has since been bought, so thank you for the recommendation sir). But he kindly gives stories about the film that made us all afraid of the water. Stories about the pressure Spielberg was feeling, how big penny pinchers producers Richard Zanuck and David Brown were, Gottlieb coming on set and writing new dialogue on the spot, and much more. He also gives perceptions about his penned screenplays for the underrated Jaws 2 & 3, and Roy Scheider’s on-set grumpiness during the making of 2. You want Jaws stories? Listen to this interview and be sure to pick up Mr Gottlieb’s book Jaws Log. We thank him very much for his time.
But we are not done. Most shows would stop at that. But we deal yet another deck of interviewing awesomeness as Moreno and I get screenwriter Michael Grais on the line. Grais gives highly animated stories about how Poltergeist came to being and the surprising hilarity associated with Craig T Nelson. Lots of insightful views of being around the late Heather O’Rourke and director Tobe Hooper are shared, as well as the making of the also penned by Grais Poltergeist II. As for Poltergeist III and the remake? Well, we bring it up. But, Grais’ remarks about them say it all.
Moreno then jumps in to ask about one of his childhood favorite films Marked For Death. Grais shares some insane yet also insanely believable stories about Steven Seagal (we’ll never look at Black Rain the same again), and of course where Grais came up with the idea for the film. This needs to be heard to be believed. I ask a little about Grais’ also penned script for Cool World, and then we let him go, leaving Moreno and I in awe over what we just heard.
So what are you waiting for? Listen NOW!
And don’t forget to pick up Gottlieb’s book Jaws Log in stores now.

  • BingeCast: The Program Commentary
If you’re a follower of Binge Sports, and we know you are, then you know that college football is back. No seriously, Luke even wrote an article yesterday called “College Football is Back!”, which you can check out by clicking HERE. That’s right, it’s a shameless plug; get over it. But on to more important things, Luke returns for a special BingeCast commentary and he’s joined by film expert Garrett Collins to discuss the 1993 classic, The Program. Do I really need to say much more than that? Relive the glory days by popping in the movie and taking the ride with the boys down memory lane as we remember those people that used to be in movies like Kristy Swanson, Duane Davis (who may be in every sports movie in the 90’s), and the roided-out guy from Higher Learning, who is apparently Facebook friends with Garrett. That fucking guy knows everybody.
But seriously, grab a six-pack or some rum and cokes and don’t forget to spit in your buddy’s mouth to get hyped up for this amazing commentary. Enjoy.

  • Binge GameCast: So Many Me, Game of Thrones/Borderlands Telltale, Magic Duels, Metal Gear Solid V, and much, much more!!
Holy crap, even without Batch here this episode we had a shit ton of stuff to talk about. Supka actually completed his Game Assignments and then some and Episode IV even dabbled in some stuff anxiously awaiting Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. We’re glad he took time away to join us for this weeks episode. Otherwise it would have been a non-Supka’d Supka all by his lonesome. Nobody wants that. So kick back and enjoy, you can download/stream the audio only version as always. You could have also followed the link to our Twitch channel where you can watch MovieFreak play some side missions while listening but it appears our dumbasses didn’t think to test the audio on the stream prior to recording so you’re only going to hear one side of it. One day soon I swear will get this thing figured out. Until next time…

  • Monday Morning Moreno – Jerseypalooza Travelogue
I’ve had quite a few road trips in my day but my most recent one to the tri-state area ranks as one of the best ever. I’ve never driven East before, so that’s a first. And it’s the first long distance road trip I’ve had with my chick (another first). Plenty of people told us that we’d want to kill each other by the end of it. Why? If you enjoy someone’s company, spending 24 hours in a car with someone is no big deal.
This is another experimental podcast in the ever changing landscape that is Monday Morning Moreno. I grabbed a couple of mics, my digital recorder, and popped in for updates from the road, at a tattoo shop, Central Park and during our drunken partying at PeteMC’s house. There’s drunk sounder rehearsals, drunk talk and even a drunk MiniBinge. Goddamit TM.
    Hope you enjoy.
What kind of experimental show would you like to hear on Monday Morning Moreno?

  • BingeCast: Straight Outta Compton, Southpaw, San Andreas, Blunt Talk, Narcos, and more
Check out our new timestamp of the show below!
Lots to talk about tonight so strap in and put your feet up. Moreno is back from New Jersey and he brings gifts in the form of brand new live sounders. Ammon is in and then he’s out and then he’s in again as he prepares his house for the cowboy birthday celebration of the century.
Law and Moreno kicks things off with some random catching up, tales from New Jersey, and two of the most uncomfortable steam room stories you’ll ever want to hear.
TV Round-Up is jammed packed with talk of Mr. Robot, Show Me a Hero, Ballers, Narcos, Blunt Talk, Wet Hot American Summer, and Ray Donovan.
Movie Homework was 30 DAYS OF NIGHT. We all take turns explaining why this movie bothered us. It’s mostly Josh Hartnett. And the ending. And the language. And beards.
What Did You Watch has gossip about STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON, SAN ANDREAS, SOUTHPAW, MARKED FOR DEATH, and THE JUDGE.

  • Binge Movie Aftertaste w/ Howard Berger; On-Set Makeup Effects Stories and a Fantastic Four Review w/ Jason Morris
Makeup effects has always been one of the hardest and most time consuming things a person in the film business can do. When we set out to do a show about the art of makeup effects, Jason and I wanted to get the best storyteller we could, as the process itself is a taxing one that is sure to yield many stories. Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you Academy Award, Primetime Emmy, and BAFTA Award winning artist Howard Berger.
Before we get to Howard, Jason and I share stories on our own experiences working with makeup effects. From fake vomit making the actor actually vomit to violent allergy-inducing fake blood, Jason certainly warms us up for what’s to come.
Once we get Howard on the line, the stories cease to pause. In this hour plus interview, Berger fills us in on everything from how his working relationship with Quentin Tarantino started and continues to endure, how Robert Englund’s never ending storytelling is easy to withstand because of how nice and kind he is, great Kill Bill stories, on set movie making with fake buffalo, and much, MUCH more in this most informative and extremely formidable conversation. Extra thanks to Berger for not only coming on with us, but also sticking to it because of his being under the weather. I have a feeling we just touched the surface of what Berger has to share, so you can expect him back on the show in the future. Maybe when one of his estimated fourteen things are getting ready to be released. Oh speaking of which, Howard takes extra care to endorse the upcoming Christmas theatrical release of The Hateful Eight because of its special release on 70 mm. As he says, this is ‘the way films were meant to be seen, and not on a 3 inch screen on your phone.’
After hanging up with Berger, Jason and I decided to share our thoughts on the comic book film flop Fantastic Four. Though when I came up with the idea of talking about the film, I figured we would, as always, be on opposite ends of the street with our opinions of it. Turns out…we feel the exact same way. Oh well. It made for a ten minute conversation. Not all of them can be winners.
Oh…I would also like to thank Jason for making it on the air as he too was sick. Wait, no I don’t. It’s his bi-weekly job. As for you, what are you waiting for? Listen NOW!

  • Binge SportsCast: MLB, PGA, NFL, NCAA, WWE, NXT, and a HUGE Announcement
Welcome to an all-new Binge SportsCast, coming to you on our all-new day. From now on, you’ll be getting this show one day earlier than you’re used to, so you’ll have something to pull you through the middle of your long week.
On today’s show, I’m flying solo once again, but I’ve got a ton of info for you. After taking a little shot at ESPN, I get into each division of Major League Baseball, including if the Cubs can actually win the NL Central, and update you on all eight fan votes (make sure to keep voting as I’ll have them at the bottom of this page).
From there, I talk just a few minutes of golf as I take a look back at the PGA Championship, the weekend that Tiger Woods had at the Wyndham, and the upcoming FedEx Cup Playoffs. For a full list of the 125 players that made it, click HERE.
There’s much more on the way in the coming weeks, but I do dive into some football, as I discuss a few of the stories around the NFL, and may or may not go on a mini-rant about how people act during preseason football. And if you’re wondering what the big announcement is, it may have something to do with the inaugural season of the Binge Sports Fantasy Football League and how you might be able to get involved. I guess you’ll have to listen to find out. I’d hurry though.
And for you college football fans, I get into a little of that as well as I discuss the preseason Top 25. For the full list, click HERE to check it out as you listen to me walk you through the cupcake schedule of the unanimous number one.
I spend the last few minutes of the show giving you a few quick thoughts on the past few days in WWE, including the awesomeness of NXT, the disappointment in Summerslam, and the big moments on RAW.
Doing a show alone is never easy, but I think I got through it okay. Hopefully, you think so too. Let me know what you think below or follow me on Twitter @BingeSports and @THElukenorris.  And don’t forget to vote in the MLB polls as well (you know, just in case your drunk ass already forgot). Enjoy!
