  • BingeCast: Montage of Heck, It Follows, Maggie, GoT, Road Warrior revisit
Things get off to a bumpy start this week as all of us are half in the bag before we even start recording. We eventually get control of ourselves and deliver. I think.
We’ve got Drunk Segments, Chimpmuck Segments, TV Round-Up, Google Voice and a bunch of reviews for films such as MAGGIE, IT FOLLOWS, KURT COBAIN: MONTAGE OF HECK, and POUND OF FLESH.
Then we get to our Revisit Review of the week, MAD MAX 2: THE ROAD WARRIOR. Things get discussed, such as – How crazy were the stunt men in this film? Creepy kids. Why Stephen Merchant isn’t in the remake. Commando. Boobs (probably). And anything else that we love about this classic.

  • Binge Movie Aftertaste w/ Graham Denman
When Moreno and I started talking about doing a podcast together, we envisioned a show where we could get people who work within the film business to give us some great insight into what all goes into making a movie. We envisioned talking to people who promote their projects, but also just talk about the business as a whole. We envisioned highly entertaining conversations with highly entertaining people. In other words, we envisioned shows like this particular one featuring actor/writer/director/composer Graham Denman.
Moreno and I start the show off by pouting over the fact that the lovely Jason Morris would rather eat macaroni and cheese alone than do his podcast duties. Actually, he had real life responsibilities to attend to. But we would rather put Morris down with him not around than accept it. Yes, we are assholes.
We then get Denman on the line. This is usually when I would give a rundown about what is talked about in the interview. But I would rather you just listen and experience for yourself this hour plus conversation that starts off as a promotional piece but turned into one of the most entertaining riff fests we have ever had. Forty minutes are spent on Denman’s career so far, career aspirations, and his WTF run-in with Gary Oldman. Then we talk about everything from the forgotten Martin Scorcese gem After Hours, love for Dark City, the genius of Charlie Kaufman, TWO King of Hollywood ideas, and so much more. If that is not enough to wet your whistle, the entire conversation is sprinkled with talk and references of the time Denman had his dick cut off onscreen.
Don’t you want to listen now? Doovit!!
Check out Graham’s short House Call, as well as the trailer to his new film The Divine Tragedies below. Special thanks to him for a kick ass conversation and look for him to come back on the Aftertaste very soon. You know, when he has things finished and ready to talk about and PROMOTE!

  • Binge SportsCast: Mayweather/Pacquiao Fallout, NBA & NHL Playoffs
Welcome to Episode 3 of the Binge Sportscast.
Now in our regular spot, I start off the show by going on a little, okay maybe a big fucking rant about random fans and their inability to actually see what’s happening on the television screen. I might come off like an asshole, but hey, what else is new? The rant really came about due to comments I saw over the weekend about the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight from Saturday night. Seriously folks, watch the fight again. The fight wasn’t even close. But which side am I on?
Kupka joins me for his take on the fight and goes on his own little rant on how people spend their money. After possibly going a little long on boxing, we get into the NBA Playoffs while watching Bulls/Cavs one minute apart. We talk the other three series as well before getting into the Stanley Cup Playoffs. We talk all series and conclude with some Blackhawks talk (shocking, right?)
I’m digging where the show is going, so just do me a favor and check it out. Let me know what you thought and where you come out on the opening of the show. Follow Kupka on Twitter @jekupka, and catch up with me @THElukenorris and of course, you can always get the latest updates @BingeSports. Enjoy.

  • BingeCast: TV Round Up – Game of Thrones Commentary S5 Ep 4
If there’s anything we learned from this week’s Game of Thrones is that Law and I equally hate scorpions.   Like, really, really, hate scorpions.  This is the most interesting episode of the fifth season so far.  Theories based on past ASOIAF events are discussed, gay dudes are gay bashed, and Jon Snow likes another ginger.  He may not know anything, but he does know he likes that ginger bush. Classy.
Also, this is the exact image of every 14 year old boy who’s been denied sex once he’s had it.  Poor Tommen.  Weep on your throne.

  • Monday Morning Moreno – Epic Oasis Album Review with Denny Luis
and as i close my eyes
    and the sky turns red
i realise just what you are
    you’re an idlers dream
    and you’re singing shangri la
I consider myself to be a pretty big Oasis fan.  I loved them since the first album and followed them pretty consistently until the last album or so.  After having many a conversation with BingeCast listener and Def Poetry Jam’s own Denny Luis, I decided to have him on as a special guest co-host to talk all things Oasis.
Let me tell you something, if you’re a fan of Oasis, you’re definitely going to want to tune in to this episode.  We go through every album and track the progression of the band’s sound and songwriting.  Denny comes prepared with a shit load of information about every album that overloads my mind, in a good way.
We then cap off the album discussion by ranking our favorite albums and then giving our top 10 songs with some honorable mentions.  You can check those out right here.  The contrast of both of our lists is a good indication of how we approached making our lists, but just how diverse, despite popular belief, the band can be.
    Enjoy!
    Moreno’s Top 10 Oasis Songs:
    1. Slide Away – Definitely Maybe

    8. Acquiesce – (What’s the Story) Morning Glory B-Side
    9. Supersonic – Definitely Maybe

Denny Luis’ Top 10 Oasis Songs:

  • BingeCast: Age of Ultron, Unfriended, Game of Thrones, Drunk Segs, and more
Let’s kick things off with some old Drunk Segments Moreno found on an old laptop.
Then let’s hit up TV Round-Up with our review of the latest Game of Thrones episode where Law is loving it and Moreno is seeing minor cracks.
Ammon joins the fun and we travel into Google Voice Game territory and get lost in translations.
How about we dabble in some What Did You Watch with talk of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, UNFRIENDED, THE DREAM TEAM, THE RUNNING MAN, THE UNTOUCHABLES, CARLITO’S WAY, JACKIE BROWN, and three dozen more classic films Moreno watched this week.
    Box Office Report.
    More Drunk Segs.

  • Angry Drunk Movie Dads: The Sports Edition
Ammon and Law have a lot to cover since their last ADMD and are joined by Moreno simply so he doesn’t have to listen to the show later. Topics discussed include, but are not limited to….
TEEN WOLF – Last show’s homework goes over semi-decently in both houses.
STAR WARS trailer – Our kid’s reactions compared to our reactions.
Jim Carrey movies – next show’s homework sets up our first contest. Who can watch more?
GOONIES – why older generations hate the film.
AVENGERS: Law’s kids are pumped. Ammon’s don’t give fucks.
IMDB Parent Guides: These things are better than some movies.
I know there’s lots more in here but we recorded way back on last Saturday, and I was drunk. Cool story, bro.

  • Binge GameCast: Witcher, God of War, Assassin’s Creed, Kojima Leaving Konami
When Kupka decides television and the outdoors are more important than the warm glow of his monitor Batch and MovieFreak are there to pick up the slack. This week we get into some Witcher talk, bring up some God of War memories and get deep into the Assassin’s Creed world, which one of us calls “The Scientology of Video Games.” You’re going to have to listen to find out who it is. Stay tuned next time as our 10th epsiode (WOOHOO we made it to 10!) will be our commentary for a little flick called Street Fighter.

  • BingeCast: TV Round Up – Game of Thrones Commentary S5 Ep 3
We’re back this week with Kupka (Wasupka) substituting for Law, who is down in Dorne playing in the water gardens.   We focus a lot more on the books during the commentary, noting subtle and overt changes from the source material, but don’t worry, it doesn’t get too spoilery until we have our After the Credits book spoilery talk.
Grab a pint ale, a bowl of brown and enjoy.

  • BingeCast: Starry Eyes, All This Mayhem, HFL Updates, Drunk Segs
    AY YO WASUPKA!
Let this be the new phrase that we use to greet Fuuuuckin’ Kupka in the Binge Community.  Why?  It is explained in this week’s jam packed BingeCast.
Law and myself start off by discussing some Hottie Fantasy League updates and transition into TV Round Up where we discuss Veep, Silicon Valley, and The Last Man on Earth.
After we listen to the first Drunk Segment on Dog Spiders, Garrett Collins joins us to talk about the experience of world premiering his first movie Refuge, directed by Teddy Gyi.  What a great perspective Garrett brings to the discussion.  Both Law and I realized that we wouldn’t have half of Garrett’s professionalism if we attended the premiere.  We’re idiots.
Ammon then joins, we listen to another another drunk segment, then dive right into What Did You Watch This Week.  Law review Wish I Was Here, while Garrett takes on Sheik, Blue Ruin, Starry Eyes, and a revisit of Jaws.  Has there ever been anyone who dislikes Jaws?  I’ll kill them.  Ammon checks out A Million Ways to Die in the West, and revisits Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Police Academy, which leads to a discussion on the amazingness of “The Gutt”.  I scope out a couple documentaries called All This Mayhem (phenomenal) and Atari: Game Over (Ehhhhh).  We play the rest of the Drunk Segs and then we’re out!
