TODAY'S EPISODE:
After many years of putting their brilliance on the internet for free, the Bitches are offering their first ever course on the topic of burnout! It was, to quote Piggy, a labor of love... but a labor nonetheless. And to quote Kitty as her body broke down into its component parts upon completion of this project, "Oh god my spleen!" (probably).
In today's special bonus episode of the BGR podcast, the Bitches walk you through a sneak peek of their new course. Listen here or on your favorite streaming platform.

TODAY'S QUESTION:
Hi aunties! My partner and I have been long distance since we got together, and just recently they had to move back home because of Covid. The state they live in is very cheap, they will be there for 4 years getting a business degree, and they've made several offers for me to move in with them. But it's over 900 miles away and they are the only person I know there. How do I decide if I should move and when I should do it?

TODAY'S QUESTION:
So I just got hired at this really small literal mom and pop cafe in the town I just moved to. When I was hired, the one owner told me I would get “$14 an hour plus cash tips.” Maybe I’m just fuckin stupid, but I didn’t realize that that meant literally only the cash tips and I would not get paid any of the tips that people leave when they pay with a credit card. I asked her about credit card tips today and that’s when she told me, very coldly, “Like I told you yesterday and the day you were hired, you get cash tips. We keep credit card tips.”
Most of our payments are done with cards so I am missing out on a LOT of tips. I have never worked somewhere that I did not receive tip outs from credit card tips. Is this even allowed?

TODAY'S QUESTION:
I was wondering if you had any advice on pricing your own products, specifically artwork? I want to try selling some of the paintings I do, but I don't know what would be a fair price.

TODAY'S QUESTION:
I recently got a new job with a big pay increase, better hours, more job security, etc., but now I've realized that I hate the career path I'm on right now. I'm a manufacturing supervisor and I don't want to manage people forever and I hate the capitalistic crunch to bleed my employees dry for revenue. I don't want to take a step back down in salary though. I've been thinking about looking for a career coach or a recruiter to try to figure out what kind of different jobs I would be qualified for, would actually like, and would be in a similar pay range. Are there consultants for that sort of thing? How do I find a good one? What other resources are there for figuring out WHAT to pivot to when you know you want to pivot??

TODAY'S QUESTION:
Something has been really bothering me as my spouse and I try to plan our future. We're both looking toward early retirement and every single bit of advice I see for where to retire... just doesn't take into account being gay. At all. All the "retire here for the lowest taxes and best chance at a good life" advice points to states with awful track records about all queer stuff ever (looking at you, Florida-Alabama-Louisiana-Montana). My queer heart is so frustrated that I'm essentially ignored in this advice again and again (pretty standard in personal finance, I know) and I would just love your combined take on what to look for in a place to retire to that takes into account social safety nets and not literally trying to legislate my spouse and I out of existence. I guess I am feeling pretty disheartened about the idea that I have to retire to a state that's going to possibly harm my rate of return and make early retirement harder just because I am queer. Do I suck it up and move to Florida? Are those taxes worth it to support those broader social safety nets and so we just suck it up and pay those in the queer haven of upstate New York-and-or-Vermont?

TODAY'S QUESTION:
A waiter in the restaurant where I work smells bad and almost the whole staff has complained about his particular odor. The thing is, we (as management) don’t know how to address this issue because he is sort of sensitive (he has cried on the job over small verbal warnings). Any advice on how to approach this with him? I know it has to be one of us and in private but I don’t even know which words to use.
