Joining us today is Meghan Chen, Digital Assets Strategist, who walks us through what’s currently happening in the digital assets markets and what is driving crypto assets higher despite the negative headlines. Meghan speaks to Colin Randall, Director of Research and says January saw a strong start for crypto with Bitcoin and Ether prices going up. She explains crypto prices have rebounded this year for two reasons. She notes risk assets performed well in January, as well as stocks and the NASDAQ creating a general tailwind for crypto. Also the collapse of regional banks in the US also created a spike in Bitcoin. When vulnerabilities arise in the traditional finance system, they tend to be a tailwind for crypto prices. Especially for Bitcoin as it is the largest and most established cryptocurrency.
