Owner and founder of I Am Yogi Studios. I started my professional career in retail management; training and developing associates for brands. I had a passion for developing individuals and decided to continue my education in Psychology. 

I worked full time as a banker, pursued my BA as a full time student, took pride in still raising my son and all at the cost of losing myself. 

I quit my job, got my degree, embarked on motherhood for a second time, became a certified yoga instructor, opened I am yogi studios for women of color and launched I am Yogi Fit Apparel. I know! Pivotal turn but it wasn’t easy!

Hailing from Jamaica, NY, Alexandria Calizaire (affectionately known as “Lexy”) is a creative, free-spirited, mother of two, who is committed to supporting, encouraging, and fortifying women. Using her B.S. in Public Relations and Business, from St. John’s University, along with her experience in Brand Marketing and Public Relations Events Coordination, Lexy has established her mommy marque, as Creator and CEO of MammasMonkeys.com and as Co-Founder of Mommy Mixer Mondays. 

In June of 2016, just 3 months after giving birth to her second child, Cali, Lexy was diagnosed with postpartum depression. As a stay-at-home Mother of two, with a new fiancé, Lexy was looking for ways to meet the challenges of juggling her newfound lifestyle. She found that writing played an integral role, in her therapeutic methods and thus MammasMonkeys.com was re-born. Previously just a school assignment, from 6 years prior, that documented her battle-tested survival tips of being a full-time student, full-time employee and dedicated mother, of then 6-month old Keitan, Mamma’s Monkeys has since grown into ‘One BIG Conversation’ on the basics of parenthood, product reviews, recipes, activities, self-care, lifestyle, relationships, random rants and more. Today, the brand also includes a line of hand-made-to-order products for the mind, body and spirit. Lexy continues to build and expand her brand, while nurturing relationships with other supernova female entrepreneurs!

Whitney Harris, is many things; at the core, she is a Queens, NY native. At an early age, she found a love for music; the sounds and feelings. Intrigued by music’s ability to invoke a range of different emotions, Whit began to influence the culture that gave so much to her; while curating and hosting events, during her collegiate stay in Southern VA. Her transition from curator/host to DJ would span nearly a decade as she honed her skills, culminating in the birth of WHIT the DJ, in 2017. Her drive has taken her talents from Queens to VA to The Bay (CA), where she currently thrives as a Full-Time Artist. 

2017 bought on a major life change, with a transition from the corporate world, that not only birthed WHIT the DJ, but also afforded Whit time and opportunity to explore various forms of self care. In 2018, that self-care showed up in the form of financial education (financial self-care). In 2019, it showed up as she embarked on a journey through therapy (emotional and psychological self-care). In all that the pandemic brought along, it afforded Whit an opportunity to further her financial education and complete licensing, in order to embark on a path in Financial Consulting; to educate and improve the financial wellness of those around her.
