Jeff also vents with us in the second half with this statement:

    Good Morning Nashville ☀️
New week, new episode from your favorite father-and-son podcast in Nashville 🔥 THE ONLY father-and-son podcast in all of Tennessee, super excited to bring you guys more content and allowing another black man to vent on our platform.
    Let’s get into it! 💫
This makes 143 episodes, 143 weeks straight, and we surely don’t plan on stopping this streak no time soon. We’re back “Out East” on today’s podcast as we bring our good friend and brother, the “Parkwood Baby” himself, Mr. Darius Horton on the show ✌🏽. He vents with us on today’s platform about a lot of different things, one of them being how being called “scatter brain” by family members and friends in a jokingly manner, alerted him to want to seek out a psychiatrist. Darius talks with us about how he did research on ADHD, and it opened his eyes to a different understanding behind why he would often times be at work, or in social climates and “10,000 things are going on at once” in his head . We all shared our thoughts behind the definition of the diagnosis, because let’s be honest, how many people are walking this earth with undiagnosed mental health illnesses ? He talks about how his wife has been a huge advocate behind helping him figure it out, and also talks about how they met and gives us a funny story behind their journey that led to holy matrimony . Definitely a good episode , take some time to hear a black man vent today ⭐️

A great episode today that we have for you guys, let’s lock in! 😎
If you know our platform well, then you know there have been a few times where we’ve put a “twist” in our episode . Although the name of our podcast is “Black” Men Vent Too, we know that the mental health conversation needs to stretch further past someone’s skin color. So every blue moon, we will put a twist in our content to show others that we are inclusive in what we do to change Nashville and our communities around the taboo subject of mental health. Presenting to some, introducing to others, an ICON in the principalship position with Metro Public Schools, guys we have none other than Mr. Steve Ball ⭐️ venting on today’s show! Born and raised in California, but a majority of his life was spent in the school system. Mr. Ball dedicated 28 years of service to being a principal, and after retirement, still had his hands in the education system. He vents with us about the pros and cons of being a principal. Mr. Ball states that he’s experienced a lot of trauma during his time : students shot and/or killed , a teacher passed during the school day , earthquakes , and more . But he talks about the reward(s) that has come from every experience he’s had, and has dedicated the remainder of his life to God, giving back, and supporting his kids and grandkids.
“You guys poured more into me than I ever poured into you. That’s the wonderful part about being a principal … to watch you guys graduate and grow from 9th graders to 12th graders, that’s just so rewarding.” 🫶🏽

He vented on today’s episode about how black men are just not appreciated as much as they should be. We go through life not realizing the sacrifices that men make, both mentally and physically, to “make it happen” for their families and themselves.
