A little more than two years since he stepped down, Bob Stoops has a new book out, "No Excuses: The Making of a Head Coach," that looks back on his 18 seasons with the Oklahoma Sooners. He's also preparing for his next coaching opportunity with the Dallas Renegades in the XFL's inaugural season in 2020. Stoops joined Blatant Homerism host Allen Kenney to talk about his book and what prompted him to get back into coaching. They also discussed what's fueling Lincoln Riley's early success at OU; Stoops' thoughts on Alex Grinch's performance as defensive coordinator; the difficulty of coaching defense in the era of the spread offense; mentoring players with off-the-field problems; and Bob Seger's farewell tour.
