toledo ohio and miami are the class of the mac. bowling green crashes back down to earth after beating georgia tech. niu has a record day at running back at the expense of an akron team whos effort was in question with an embarrassing performance.

it was a great week for the mac as miami and ohio both get power 5 wins. eastern michigan and toledo both gets fbs wins. there are also a bunch of blowouts in the mac but overall a great week.

niu blows a chance for a new years day bowl game akron wins on a fumble scoop and score and buffalo loses to an fcs team.

niu is now the only team with a chance at a special season after toledo falls to a very average at best illini team. kent state takes on georgia this week after being dominated by ucf last week.

the college football season is in full swing this week with toledo starting off a possible new years six season at illinois.
