Badar Tareen is a civil rights lawyer by day and an award-winning stand-up comedian by night. Badar’s comedy can be described as analytical, energetic, and unique, hitting many different audiences given Badar’s day job and background as a Pakistani Muslim who grew up in a small town in North Dakota. He has frequently opened for Zarna Garg and other comedians like Akaash Singh, Tony Woods, and Marcello Hernandez. Badar has been selected to performed at over a dozen comedy festivals such as the Dubai Comedy Festival and performed at clubs throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. He currently runs BrownTown Comedy, the largest South Asian comedyshow in the DC area—every show sells out. Based in Virginia with his wife, a doctor at Johns Hopkins, and their spirited son, Badar continues to captivate audiences with his sharp wit and engaging presence. "Awesome Thursdays" was selected by Google as their first comedy live stream for their new platform Google Plus! He was also one of the producers of Roy Wood Jr.’s podcast, Roy’s Job Fair. Ralph Cooper's quick wit, infectious silliness, and double bass voice have captivated audiences from comedy clubs to fast food joints. The Morehouse College graduate launched his career in media at National Public Radio. With his signature commanding baritone voice, Cooper ventured into stand-up comedy in 2005, touring clubs in the US and Canada. The Arsenal-supporting Gooner has been featured on Comedy Central, CBS, Sirius XM, and Washington Post. He is most proud of the fact that his family was named the "Coolest Black Family in America" by EBONY magazine.

David Betancourt is a four-time Eisner Award nominee and former Washington Post Comic Riffs blog writer. As a child, David Betancourt was mesmerized by the adventures of characters like Iron Man, Captain America, and the Black Panther. Those early fascinations turned into a love for reading graphic novels and, eventually, a career writing about the very heroes that ignited his imagination.
