We are a full Michael Jordan into this thing!!! That’s right episode 23 and it’s gonna be a great one. We chat with another amazing midwife Mel Kennedy(They/Them). They’re a Reproductive Justice Advocate, Student Midwife, Doula, and owner of The Garden in Gainesville Virginia. They also run a 3D printing business, Uncle Goggles Emporium with their Partner. Mel has 2 children ages 13 and 7.  Mel has been a great resource for us throughout pregnancy. We are gonna talk pregnancy advocacy (especially for black women and women of color) as well as collectibles and cosplay!

Episode deuce deuce and we are just getting started! Very excited to talk to childhood friend and local community organizer Koran T. Saines. Koran is  a Human Resource professional and serves as the district supervisor for Loudon County. He is a unifier and much needed advocate for the Sterling District.   In addition Koran was previously an assistant coach to his son’s baseball teams. When not working or enjoying time with his son, he is diligently serving his community. Koran has spent the majority of his life living in Sterling, VA and has worked to create a flourishing community that welcomes, and represents all of the diverse cultures that call Sterling home. Heads up!!! Another bonus episode for you! This time we get nerdy with the always funny and insightful Terrance Gawith. Originally from nowhere Kansas, Terrance started stand-up in the DC area while serving in the military. As a kid that tended to always crack jokes and rip on people, even at a young age, Terrance was always a little out of place because life was filtered through a humor lens. His style is a mix of his observations and outlandish random thoughts that hit him, as well as a blend of funny storytelling that gives the audience a unique experience. He has performed at clubs throughout the U.S and other various venues where funny happens. In 2012, made the decision to focus on becoming one of the best Stand Up Comedians in the world, and he has been doing just that. Eddie has been featured on Multiple Festivals across the Country. He is a regular feature performer for Tony Woods. He has also opened for Dave Chappelle, David Keochner, Tim Dillan, Joe Clair, Rich Vos, Shane Gillis, Donnell Rawlings, and many others. As CEO of Broken Diamond Comedy llc. Eddie has produced some of the biggest independent Comedy events in the DMV. This week we chat with a new friend and former fellow cohost of the Open Mike Radio Podcast Trinita Coefield. Trinita was born and raised in the Washington, DC area and moved back after completing her undergraduate degree in Justice Studies at North Carolina Wesleyan College and a tour in the USAF where she served as a Mental Health Technician.

Upon her arrival back home, she embarked on a civilian career which ultimately led to her decision to obtain her Master’s in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management after which she pursued a career in Project Management.

Alongside her career goals, she is also the CEO of Free 2 Flyy Enterprises, LLC and one half of the FlyyLytical Podcast.

Inspired by her tour in the USAF and through her own evolution and self-growth, she aims to empower other women to find their authentic, healthiest selves. Believing and understanding that our total health is important, her company has several goals of reaching and teaching women to aspire to reach these goals.

Miller is a master at engaging audiences and crafting a stand-up set that is a guaranteed good time for all. Tim’s material is based on his life experience from Waco to the White House, trying to raise a daughter, and his unique ability to find the funny in everyday life. Tim started doing stand-up after eight years in the U.S. Army (you’re welcome) and working as a videographer at the White House. His stage presence, combined with his charm, have garnished him rave reviews. He also produces the comedy show “Who’s In Here?”- a popular weekly D.C. social event where the crowd is literally part of the show.  Tim has shared the stage with some of the best in the comedy universe, including Dave Attell, Jake Johannsen, Bert Kreischer, Jon Lovitz, Pablo Francisco, Joe Matarese, Bob Marley, Red Grant, Finesse Mitchell, and Daniel Tosh. This week we chat with an old friend and great father Tre Davis. In 2009 Tre moved into the barbering industry utilizing his talent, skills and entrepreneurial spirit to make ends meet after losing everything previously. In 2016, as Tre became known as a barber and barbershop owner, his life came crashing down once again. He was a divorced single father with bad credit and had just lost his own dad. This is when he was forced to improve his own credit. Since then Tre Davis has become an entrepreneur, public speaker and credit repair consultant.
