Being honest is the key to mental health, acknowledging problems and doing something about them is difficult, but when you accept your responsibility you can accomplish great things in your relationships and in your personal life.
David and Tim talk with Cortney Warren PhD & Clinical Psychologist, her new book "The Lies We Tell Ourselves: The Psychology of Self Deception" and how to confront our own self-deception and approach others who deceive themselves.
You can reach Cortney Warren at choosehonesty.com & Psychology Today

We've talked about the end of growth and that is damning enough for our current system, but if we come up with solutions for lack of resources, how can we afford them? Steven Hail, professor of economics at the University of Adelaide, is a proponent of Modern Monetary Theory, a system of thought about money that could turn Australian politics upside down. Settle in for a grand episode where money is demystified.

On this episode of Blind Drunk, David and Tim take Brad and Peter along on a journey with a wonderful Imperial Brown Ale from Deeds Brewing. Climbing Mountains, learning the Chinese way, and commenting on terrible films, the guys enjoy the dessert beer and get rather metaphysical with learning. This is one for the artists and storytellers, come along for a drink, a discussion, and a few hearty laughs.

David and Tim were invited to give a talk to some of the most thoughtful and well trained ethicists in Adelaide, to discuss the tenability of effective altruism from the perspective of David as a person with visual impairment.
David trains people to use (and choose between) a raft of skills and heuristics, so that they can ask deeper questions, identify assumptions, challenge biases, communicate more effectively, plan more reliably, and empower themselves to create better outcomes. His ultimate aim is to help teams to embrace and apply creative problem solving. So naturally intelligent and curious persons from EA in Adelaide sought a discussion with David, where he rocked the boat and brought up some tensions.

Anders Breivik has set a precedent of assessing young, white angry males as being psychologically unstable when in reality he was politically radical, committed, and motivated. In this episode of Blind Insights, David and Tim speak to Paj Sandu about the processes of right wing white radialisation in the west.

After 20 years of mass shootings in America nothing seems to change. Could regulating firearms, like in Australia, work in the United States, and, if not, are there any workable alternatives?
