🟦 Left-leaning administration Elizabeth Warren is pushing the Senate to ban your crypto wallet Cointelegraph has reported that Elizabeth Warren is back with an Anti-Money Laundering act that would among other things make it mostly illegal for you to use your own crypto wallet. The bill is particularly harsh on decentralized finance (DeFi), including noncustodial ones, requiring platforms to record the personal information of users and submit it to the government without a warrant or probable cause.

🔴 Cointelegraph has a brilliant article that states IMF examines CBDC design in the context of Islamic banking and finds some risks magnified. The article here https://lnkd.in/dnqPXCTY states that
CBDC design is complicated by prohibitions in Islamic law on usury and speculation. This strongly impacts liquidity management:
“Conventional mechanisms of liquidity management interbank market, secondary market financial instruments, central bank discount window and Lender of Last Resort (LOLR) that are based on interest are not permissible for Islamic banks.”

🙊 Euler is a non-custodial protocol on Ethereum that allows users to lend and borrow almost any few days ago the crypto asset was drained of nearly $200 million via six flash loans and a vulnerability. Along with Euler, roughly 10 other DeFi protocols were affected thanks to the various integrations established along the way. Yield Protocol, Swivel Finance, Angle, and several others all announced their level of exposure to their communities.
