Scott Johnson, a general partner of Van Buren Capital, explained via Twitter that law clerks in the United States District Courts generally cycle out in August, pushing judges to clear out the caseload “before the new guard arrives.” Tweet here https://lnkd.in/dH463A3B He noted that 30 out of 32 cases in March of 2021 and 2022 were heard by United States District Courts within 160 days of oral testimony, which also landed them in August, adding that it has also been 160 days since Grayscale delivered its oral arguments in its suit against the United States Securities and Exchange Commission on March 7.

💥 Litecoin has completed its third Block reward halving, now cutting rewards to 6.25 LTC. On August 2, 2023, the Litecoin (LTC) blockchain documented its third block reward halving. Litecoin’s first halving transpired on August 25, 2015, at a block height of 840,000, and the second occurred on August 5, 2019, at a block height of 1,680,000. The most recent reward halving, happening at block height 2,520,000, has reduced the reward from 12.5 LTC to 6.25 LTC. - Gaming retail company GameStop has announced it will remove its digital wallets from the market starting in November, citing “regulatory uncertainty of the crypto space.” Cointelegraph has reported that In a notice posted to its website, GameStop said iOS and Chrome Extension wallets will no longer be available starting on Nov. 1, advising users to ensure they have access to their secret passphrases by Oct. 1.
