On January 27, 2020, in the Colorado Springs area, Letecia Stauch reported her 11-year-old stepson, Gannon Stauch, missing when he did not return home by his 6 pm curfew. Gannon was initially thought to be a runaway, but clues soon pushed investigators in a different direction. Two months later, in March 2020, Gannon’s remains were found in a discarded suitcase in the Florida panhandle. Letecia was charged with Gannon’s murder and in May 2023 she was found guilty of stabbing Gannon 18 times before hitting him in the head and then shooting him once – all because she wanted to hurt his father (her husband) Al Stauch, whom she planned to leave and who was away on a NationalGuard deployment at the time. Listen to hear about how Letecia claimed one of her other personalities, “Maria”, was to blame for Gannon’s murder and why the judge said "The facts, in this case, are the most horrific I have ever seen. Your conduct, in this case, deserves the maximum sentence that I can impose according to Colorado law." #JusticeForGannon
