In this season finale, Sarah discusses taking a podcasting summer break, as well as shares a very personal letter written to her daughter 4 years ago. The contents of the letter represent the wisdom found and embraced after a season of suffering and encourages listeners to acknowledge, accept, and even be kind to their imperfections- because the offset of those imperfections produce gifts that we can give to our children, and the generations to come.

In this episode, Sarah explores the topic of anxiety at a high level, breaks down the biological processes involved in it's presence in our lives, and gives a few tactics for helping you approach anxiety in new ways that is calming to the nervous system and facilitates personal growth. She shares that the best thing to do when you are anxious is to get curious about what's happening, first in the body, and then the brain. She discusses how the stories we tell when anxious are the rehearsed stories we've often had since childhood and encourages listeners to gain awareness of what those stories are in order to begin telling new ones- ones that are more true and lead to a life of flourishing, rather than complacency.

Sarah sits down with best-selling author and storyteller, Josh Riebock, for an interview that is deeply refreshing, inspiring, and profound.. Josh is a poet and a nationally sought-after speaker on the subjects of storytelling, creativity, and honesty. Josh shares very openly about his rigid religious upbringing with a father who was an alcoholic and a mother who was a hoarder, and the way he sought asylum from this trauma through writing and stories and books- and how that eventually led him to becoming an author and speaker. He talks about his faith journey, and why he moved away from his pastor role at a church so that he could more freely ask the questions that were too difficult for him to ask. He shares how questions themselves are the bedrock for his ability to be creative, and how they have led him into a life that feels more authentic to who he was created to be. Sarah and Josh discuss themes of finding beauty in the "ugly parts" of ourselves, self-responsibility, and the way doubt leads to greater connection and intimacy.
